Thanks for visiting!

I fell deeply in love with the flow of glass the first time I played it with in liquid form and have made a living with it ever since. The way it droops with gravity as you heat it up and grows halos of crystalline colors as it cools has fascinated me to no end. I never really know what will end up in the kiln after a session on the torch. It is easy to start with a plan for the night, but what is

actually created typically follows its own unique path. When I open the kiln the next morning, it is always a bundle of light and joy to ogle at in the sunlight. Thanks to people like you supporting online artists, I am able to share this passion with the world! One of the first influences on my art was a zookeeper position with a small zoo in Oklahoma that allowed me to attend classes in a local university. I graduated with a degree in Archeology some years later and ended up working at Disney World, then onto be an Aquarist in Texas and Colorado. After that it was off to Virginia to join the Americorps and build houses for a year with Habitat for Humanity. From there I was awarded an year long glassblowing apprenticeship in Texas. This has ultimately led me to settle in the mountains of North Carolina and to build my own custom studio space overlooking the beauty of our planet. This setting has allowed me to find a balance within nature and the intense energy of glassblowing. My glass tends to be very organic with a divine inner harmony of colors and textures. A mystical blend of tribal shamanism, the wonder of childhood bliss, flow dynamics and fantastical creatures from not only near and far, but also inner and outer worlds and dimensions.

🌸✨ New Mother’s Day card just dropped ✨🌸

This one feels extra special…
It started as a real bouquet grown here in Appalachia—
then I fractalized it into a floral fontscape 🌌

Sun ☀
Soil 🌱
Gentle Rains 🌧
Flowers 🌸
Love 💚
Imagination ✨
Fractalized 🌀

All woven into something that’s part flower, part art, part… something else entirely.

Featuring iris, peony, and lilac tones in a vibrant, almost otherworldly design—this is one of those cards that doesn’t just get read… it gets kept. Maybe framed. Maybe placed somewhere meaningful.

✨ Printed on sturdy 100 # cardstock (8" x 5.5")
✨ Original artwork (from real flowers I grew 🌿)
✨ Made right here in WNC

Perfect for moms, gardeners, artists, mystics… or anyone who deserves something a little more intentional this year 💛

Also… if you’ve got a bouquet you’d love turned into a one-of-a-kind fractal piece with your own message, I’m starting to open that door too 👀

Every order helps keep this strange and beautiful experiment growing 🌱
Thank you for being part of it 💚

Well… once again it's Pawpaw grafting season!

So, I made a 6-minute pawpaw grafting video for y'all 🎥🌱

Somewhere between wrangling scion wood, talking to trees, and trying not to drop my tool in the dirt… I figured I’d show y’all how I’ve been helping bring super tasty, named pawpaw varieties out into the world.

This is real-deal, Appalachian style:
No fluff, just a sharp cleft grafting tool, good timing, and a little bit of faith in the cambium lining up just right 😄

Inside the video:
🌱 Simple cleft grafting method (nothing fancy)
🌱 A few tricks that actually improve your success rate

If you’ve ever wanted to turn a wild pawpaw into something that tastes like banana-mango-coconut custard magic… this is how we do it.

And if you’re just here for the ride — well, at least you’ll get to watch a mountain guy carefully perform tree surgery in real time 😂

Give it a watch, let me know what you think, and holler if you’ve got questions.

Let’s bring the pawpaw back 🌿

I recently manifested this material and kept it from heading to the landfill. It’s basically the same type of material used for wet wipes, but this batch didn’t come out thick enough for that original purpose, so I’ve been experimenting with new uses.

Right now I’m testing it as a moisture-holding wrap for pawpaw scions (and a few other projects). So far it’s working really well for clean, consistent moisture control without turning messy. Feels like one of those materials with a lot of potential applications.

I’m curious if anyone else has experimented with something similar for scion storage, graft prep, or propagation work. Always interested in comparing notes with other plant experimenters.

I ended up with almost 2 miles of this material… clearly the Universe expects creativity, so if anyone wants some for their own projects, send me a message. I’m asking a small amount to help cover the cost of rescuing and moving the material, and I’m also open to trades. 🌿

Scion shipping is officially in full swing! 🌱✂️📦

This year I’ve upgraded my packing process with a cleaner prep and improved moisture-retention method, and I’m really happy with how well the wood is holding up in transit so far.

I also just updated inventory, and a few of the rare varieties are very minimally back in stock. (If you’ve been waiting, now’s a good time to check.)

I put a lot of care into keeping scions fresh, labeled, and ready for successful grafting, and it’s always exciting to see these genetics heading out to new growers.

False spring has arrived here in Appalachia. 🌞🌱
The first crocus flowers have popped up through the leaf litter, bright little reminders that winter eventually loosens its grip… even if it’s just teasing us for now.
In our family, spotting the first crocus is a big deal. We have a tradition that whoever sees it first gets treated to ice cream. (Although somehow that always turns into the whole family getting ice cream… funny how that works. 🍦)
As tempting as it is to run out and start planting all the seeds, this is still false spring. Appalachia has a way of reminding us not to rush. There are usually a few more cold snaps waiting, and the garden isn’t quite ready yet.
For now, we celebrate the small signs, enjoy the sunshine while it’s here, and practice a little patience. Spring is coming… just not all at once.

Out harvesting pawpaw scion wood on this beautiful sunny day. 🌞🌱

Noticed something this year and wanted to check with the Pawpaw brain trust…

My leaf stems didn’t break off cleanly. I’m ending up with a lot of stubby little remnants that I have to manually clean off before storing the scion wood. If I leave them, those little bits tend to mold fast.

Anyone else running into this this year? Curious if it’s weather related, tree stress, timing, or just one of those seasonal quirks.

Always learning something new with pawpaws. 🌿

One of my pawpaw science experiments this year! 🧪🌱

I’m storing these seeds in the original pulp they came in (in the fridge, of course) to see if it’s a viable medium for keeping them fertile and happy through storage.

So far, they’re looking great! 👀
Has anyone else experimented with this method?

Curious to hear what others have tried and how it worked out...

Earlier this week I helped a friend in a local pawpaw orchard prune their trees. 🌳✂️🌿

They have many well-established, mature trees that consistently produce large, reliable, and delicious fruit.

Unfortunately, the varietal names have been lost over time.

I couldn’t bring myself to compost the cuttings, so I’m offering them as a Premium Diverse Pawpaw Sampler — in bundles of 10 scions.

These will be unlabeled, but they’re a great option if you want to:
• Diversify your genetics
• Add proven-producing orchard material
• Roll the dice in a very delicious direction
