CG's Stuff 4 Sale

CG's Stuff 4 Sale This page is to provide info regarding items I've designed that you might wannna buy. :-) I asked my h.s. friend Rick to make a couple of items I designed.

Rick is a renowned Siversmith from Bandera, TX. He's so talented & reputable that he's one of the honored silversmiths authorized to make the Texas Ranger badges!!! :-) Anyway... my designs turned out so well, that people started asking for them. When I'd post one for sale, then folks wanted earrings or a pendant of the same design. So, we'd do that. It just sorta snowballed to where we are now

. I needed a place to post pics of the items, descriptions of our creations (my design & his talent), prices & how to order. I'm working towards getting a website set up in my spare time (which is rare), but I'll have it up ASAP!! That should even further streamline ordering. So, thanks for your patience. Glad you're here! Please share the page with your friends & invite them, so they'll be privy to new designs as soon as they're on the market. Thanks!!

Hi y'all. How's it growin'? ;-) I've been a bit under the weather & yet VERY busy trying to assist with online West, TX disaster relief & rebuilding efforts. In fact, I'm over my allotted internet usage until the 10th, so I'm limping around online at a snail's pace until then. I feel like Green Acres when they had to go climb the telephone pole to get a phone connection. LOL! (some of y'all remember Green Acres right?) Anyways, I'm gettin' right smack dab in the midst of things. (Will be up to sp*ed by the 10th!) I'll be making more appearances here soon & I've got a new SWEEEEEET, cool design I'll be unveiling around June. (you'll LUV it!!... it's very inspirational.) :-) Hope all is well with y'all. --CG

(not to detract from the reverence of the Travis letter coming home, but I thought y'all might get a chuckle from this.) ;-)

I'm LMAO at this thing that just happened. Lemme see if I can convey it via the keyboard:

a li'l BACKGROUND: The William Barrett Travis "Victory or Death" letter is now back home!! .... at the Alamo!! ... for the first time since it was written & sent out on horseback, Feb 24th, 1836. It'll be on display from tomorrow (2/23) thru March 7th. This IS a BIG DEAL!!! (can you tell I'm excited 'bout it????)

I was hoping I would have the energy to attend today, for the ceremony itself, but also because my dear friend, Kirk is attending in a Texian unfiorm & playing an antique drum.... at the request of SAHA (San Antonio Living History folks). But, alas...I don't the energy to spare & have TONS of work to do, so I can't make it. :-/

Anyways.... Wade Sellers, professional photographer who's married to a dear friend of mine..... agreed to go take pics. (I all-to-often LIVE thru photogs & videos... so am GRATEFUL he's there!!)

Wade messaged me that he'd arrived early:
"At the Alamo early. Have backpack and blue shirt. You coming?"

I called Kirk to see how far away he was getting there.... & to relay the description of Wade. Kirk said, "I think it'd be easier for him to find me.... ya' know.. Texian uniform, HUGE black hat, carrying a snare drum."

:-) I agreed & busted out laughing!!

(shortly after this I texted Kirk... gave him Wade's cell #. NOW, Kirk is a guy in a Texian uniform, HUGE black hat, carrying a snare drum, & talking on a cell phone!! LOL)

(see last post).... OMG!!!! :-) --CG

ok.. C.C. was my Border Collie, given to me by my dancing partner as a pup... (only registered dog I've ever had... "Cheyenne Crossing" was his name on papers, but since I can't whistle I could should holler "C.Ceeeeee!!!" pretty dang loud.) Anywayz... C.C. was stolen, out of a friend's yard that I was visiting/helping him out with his troubled teen. I'd only been there two (2) hours when C.C. & their dog "Lady" were taken. It was Memorial weekend 2001, at Medina Lake, so there was TONS of folks around. I just never thought 'bout someone stealing my dog.... with a harness & tags on!! (this all is integral to this silly thing I did last night)

So... C.C. was taken in 2001. I was beyond heartbroken. I never went anywhere without him. Wouldn't go into a stor or restaurant unless he could go with me. He slept with me. I SWORE I'd NEVER own another dog because of the pain of losing him!

Wellll...... in 2003....... driving down Hwy 27 in Kerrville, I spotted a li'l furball on the side of the road. Passed him up, but couldn't live with myself, so whipped the truck around & went to see if he was ok. This poor li'l puppy was prolly 5-6 weeks old & someone had dumped him!! He was flea infested, starving, etc. So, I scooped him up... gave him some water (which he didn't want) but he would eat Ice Chips. Took him to a Vet who listed him as a "Blue Heeler" on his paperwork. (seriously) Believe it or not, he was WHITE with black spots at that young age!! (no kidding)

I got him fixed up, took him home.... still didn't want a dog, but decided I'd puppy train him & find him a good home. Maybe a home with a few kids would be good for him. I intentionally DID NOT name him because I WAS NOT going to keep him!! Well..... (so much for that idea).

After 'bout 3 weeks, in which there was seriously NO training AT ALL required.... he was just smart... as if he understood what I'd say.... like "You can't GO in the house.... use this li'l door." He would obey. He actually never went p*e or p**p in the house!! (no lie!)

All this time, I would just call him "Li'l Dude"..... (I didn't want to name him 'cause I wan't gonna keep him!) Well.... one day, he looked up at me & I swear his eyes said, "HELLOOoooo.... My name is 'Dude'!" (lol remembering that)

He was mine... we were each other's from that day in 2003. He IS my child, my joy, the very best thing in my life. :-)

Jump to now.... last night.... Dude is GONE!! WHERE IS HE?? I was frantic!!! He'd NEVER left the yard in 10 years.... even when the gate was left open!! He was gone & wasn't coming when I called him. OMG!!! There's no words to describe my state of mind....

(brb... it gets better.... pretty dang funny in the end. I just ggp)

ok... I have a story to tell. Something that just happened last night. A "CG being goofy" story.... will type it up as soon as I get finished with meetings today. You're gonna LOL... (I hope!) I'm still laughin'!! Laughter is GUUD, btw!! :-) --CG
