I've been collaborating with and trading other artists and I'm thriving!!!

I'll admit I was in a bit of a creative rut for at least 6 months until recently. I was only selling things online, maybe two or three things a month, and I think the disconnect between me and the people who enjoyed my things made me a little jaded.

Well, those times are over now for a couple of reasons!!

1. I've been going to craft fairs. I don't really make money at them, but being around other people who make art has given me life, and I'm making new friends, and I even do trades sometimes. Not a lot of people want q***r leftist stuff but the ones who do are ecstatic and thank me for being there 💖

2. Speaking of trading, I think that it has made me more passionate about the art I do than even selling stuff for money does. For example, there was this cute le***an and I liked their art, so I asked if they wanted to trade. They said they were gay so I ran over to my table and brought back this cuff I had finished the week before (pictured). Well, they were ecstatic!! Speechless even! Their girlfriend helped them put it on and it was so sweet and I got a print in exchange about sailor moon being bisexual I immediately gave to my friend 🥺 Which leads me to...

3. This friend has a 3D printer and she's been so so nice about letting me use it!! I am absolutely losing my mind over this printer! It's very very nice. I've made magic the gathering stamps, alphabet stamps, Pokemon stamps, and so so much more. Hammer and sickle trans stamp which I've always dreamed of having, and everything. I've spent hours and hours going through / buying online graphics and making them into svgs.

4. Finally, I just feel very creatively stimulated. Every day when I wake up I feel like I have ideas for more things. I have to stop myself from spending hours on my computer making graphics or at my work desk stamping and making art. I haven't felt this way since childhood and I can't believe how lucky I am.

Anyway, if you read this thank you, expect tons of new stuff in the coming days, this is a Renaissance for Chelsea's art!!!!!

I tested out my new progressive disability stamp, ha!

In my opinion it kind of looks like the little guy is racing through the heavens or maybe on a Mario Kart track. I honestly don't have a lot of creativity when it comes to images or symbols, so idk.

I've learned how amazing stamped leather looks and that there's a pretty high demand for it at markets in ATL, so I've been trying to teach myself. For this I just got the leather wet, measured out sections, swivel knife, stamped the images, then finally give the middle section depth with a bevel stamp. Pretty easy! My wrist hurts tho
