My new website, EDC For Life, is now live. It is built on one truth above all others: Jesus Christ saves sinners by grace through faith, and nothing we prepare for this world compares to knowing Him. From that foundation, the site also offers practical help for protecting the people entrusted to us. You will find a four-step family plan, a readiness tracker that saves your progress, and the Digital Bible Edition of my 38-page Emergency Preparedness Guide, available now. It covers water, food, first aid, power, communications, and evacuation, with Scripture on wisdom, stewardship, and serving others. Faith is not fear, and preparation is stewardship. My full-length book, Ready or Not?, is still being written and will be released separately. Get your copy of the guide today and take practical steps to prepare for life's emergencies. But remember, no amount of earthly preparation can secure eternity. Salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone, by grace through faith.

The FBI has confirmed it is investigating a cybercriminal group’s claims that its FBIjobs.gov portal was compromised and employee information affected. The agency says the point of any breach remains undetermined, including whether it involved a third party or FBI systems. The alleged data exposure has not been confirmed. This is a reminder that no person, business, government agency, or security team is 100 percent protected from cyber threats. Use strong, unique passwords, enable multifactor authentication, install updates, maintain backups, and verify unexpected messages. These measures reduce risk, but no technology guarantees absolute protection. Cybersecurity requires vigilance, preparation, and honest reporting of what is known and unknown. Our digital defenses can fail, but our ultimate security rests in God through Jesus Christ. Trust in Jesus Christ. Now that is security you can count on.

Prayer is a gift that keeps our hearts turned toward God with hope, trust, and expectation. As His children, we can come to Him confidently, knowing He hears us and cares about every need we bring before Him. His answer may be yes, no, not now, or wait for His perfect timing, but none of those responses mean He has ignored us. God sees what we cannot see and knows what is best. Keep praying, keep trusting, and keep believing. When our requests align with His will, He is able to answer in ways greater than we could ever imagine.

Memorial Day 2026

Memorial Day is not a day of celebration, but a day of remembrance. While we enjoy the freedom to gather with family, to speak our minds, and to live our lives as we choose, there are empty chairs at tables across this country that will never be filled again. All gave some, but some gave all, and Memorial Day belongs to those who gave everything. The men and women who laid down their lives so that we could stand upright in ours deserve more than a long weekend. They deserve our silence, our gratitude, and our memory. Take a moment to be still. Say their names if you know them. Honor the weight of what was sacrificed. Freedom is not free, and the price was paid in full by heroes we must never forget.

Life can change in ways we never expected. Jobs can change, family situations can change, health can change, and finances can change with seasons beyond our control. Yet Hebrews 13:8 reminds us that Jesus Christ never changes. His character, His promises, His mercy, His power, His faithfulness, and His love remain the same yesterday, today, and forever. John 3:16 shows the depth of that love, because God gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. That love is not temporary, conditional, or unstable. It is eternal, holy, and proven through the cross. When everything around us shifts, believers can stand on this truth: Jesus remains constant, His love remains everlasting, and His salvation remains the sure foundation for every season of life. God remains faithful to all He has spoken and all He has promised according to His Word.

As a cybersecurity professional, I have serious concerns about posting children's photos online, and this is not simply my personal opinion. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children advises families to think carefully about what they share online because digital content can spread far beyond its intended audience and quickly move beyond a family's control. Today's technology can manipulate ordinary photographs and generate fake or altered images from innocent pictures, creating real privacy and safety concerns for families, especially women and children. NCMEC also operates Take It Down at takeitdown.ncmec.org, a tool specifically designed to help remove n**e, partially n**e, or sexually explicit images of minors shared online. The existence of resources like this shows how serious online risks have become. Protect your family. Think carefully before publicly posting photos of your children because privacy, safety, and their future should always come before social media attention.

Consistent, faithful actions done with the right heart are never overlooked. When a person chooses to do what is right without seeking recognition or reward, it builds a foundation of integrity that produces results over time. Needs do not always have to be spoken to be understood, and outcomes do not always arrive in expected ways. What matters is steady obedience, discipline, and a willingness to serve without conditions. This shows that results are not limited by circumstances, timing, or what appears possible, but are shaped by a higher authority beyond human control. Even when doubt or hesitation exists, it does not eliminate the potential for a positive outcome. Stay committed to doing what is right, and trust that the right results will come at the right time.

Galatians 6:9 - "Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary." (NASB 1995)

Hebrews 6:10 - "For God is not unjust so as to forget your work and the love which you have shown toward His name, in having ministered and in still ministering to the saints." (NASB 1995)

# ⚠️ WARNING — Rats In Your Home Can Kill Your Family

If rats are living in your home, your family is being exposed to deadly diseases every single day — even without a bite. The real danger is their **dried urine**, which becomes airborne and is breathed in silently.

**Three diseases that can kill:**

🔴 **Leptospirosis** — Spreads through rat urine on floors, surfaces, and water. Causes fever, organ failure, and death if untreated. Extremely common across the Philippines, Southeast Asia, Latin America, and Africa.

🔴 **Hantavirus** — Inhaled from dried rat urine particles in the air. Causes fatal lung failure. No cure exists — prevention is your only protection.

🔴 **Rat-Bite Fever** — Contracted through urine and droppings alone. No bite required.

**A persistent cough that won't go away is a warning sign.** Rat urine ammonia destroys lung tissue over time. The elderly and young children can die within days.

**Act immediately:**
✅ Seal all entry points — cracks, gaps, open walls
✅ Exterminate every rat on the premises — completely
✅ Never sweep droppings — use bleach and damp cloth only
✅ Wear a mask in any area rats have been present
✅ See a doctor for persistent cough, fever, or fatigue
✅ Ask specifically for a **leptospirosis blood test**

**This is not just a developing world problem.** In February 2025, Betsy Arakawa Hackman — wife of Hollywood legend Gene Hackman — died of Hantavirus in wealthy Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA. No home is immune. No family is safe.

**Rats are not a nuisance. They are a public health emergency. Act now.**
