Look at god
Dalton Eatherly built his entire career on one thing.
He would walk up to strangers in public, get in their faces, scream racial slurs at them, and film their reactions. The more extreme the response, the better the content. He called it entertainment. His followers called it free speech. He had hundreds of thousands of them.
Last Friday night, Eatherly showed up to Bob's Steak and Chop House in Nashville. He ordered two full entrees, appetizers, and drinks. The bill came to $371.55. Staff noticed he had been livestreaming the entire meal despite being told not to when he walked in. When they asked him to stop, he started screaming, made racial statements, and caused a scene in front of the other diners.
Then he walked out without paying.
He was arrested outside and charged with theft of services, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. Bond was set at $5,000.
Four days later, he showed up to the Montgomery County Courthouse in Clarksville to deal with a civil case. A credit company was suing him over a $3,300 debt he allegedly owed.
A confrontation broke out outside the courthouse with another man. Eatherly pulled out a gun and fired. He shot the other man and accidentally shot himself in the arm in the process. He was put on a stretcher and livestreamed himself asking paramedics "did I shoot myself or did it graze it?"
Before any of that happened, he had posted this on social media:
"Series finale is d*ad chimp on the pavement and you monkey rioting when I walk free. Stay tuned."
He is currently sitting in Montgomery County Jail. His bond was set this morning at $1.25 million. If convicted on all charges, he is facing a minimum of 21 years in prison with no parole eligibility and a maximum of 56 years.
He went to court over $3,300. He left on a stretcher facing 56 years.
