These brass originals feature flowing hand-formed scrolls, a touch of turquoise, and vibrant paua abalone shell that flash blues, greens, and hints of violet when the light hits just right.

Long and elegant at 5 inches, but still beautifully lightweight.

Intentionality ✨️

Some pieces arrive already holding a story.
The vintage Art Deco sterling silver—with its delicate marcasite filigree—was made nearly a century ago, during a time when the world was moving quickly toward a modern horizon.

And then there is the ocean.

These long, luminous black lip abalone shells carry their own quiet memory of water, light, and tide. When they move, they catch colors that feel almost alive—greens, violets, and deep midnight blues.

When I bring materials like these together, I think about time. About the many hands objects pass through. About the ways beauty survives and continues.

This is part of my practice of Indigenizing antiques—reclaiming objects from the past and giving them new life through Indigenous design and intention.

Adornment becomes story.

Story becomes memory carried forward.

Spring has sprung in the retro memories of my mind. Here's a totally rad representation! These pink dyed shells are paired with equally vibrant lime green vintage squares and bright turquoise nuggets.

Let's revisit the roaring 20s! These art deco brass beauties pair perfectly with majestic abalone shells. The mini turquoise stones mesh with the twinkle of blue-green!

They're a cute 2 inches long.

These ones are the season's diamond! Belle of the ball! These mid-century costume floral clip-ons caught my eye in Chelsea Flea, NYC. They reminded me of iridescent abalone shells! After I replaced the faux crystals and retro fitted them with hooks, I introduced them to beautiful paua abalone slabs, cultured pearls, and 18k gold chains. New life breathed into the once tired, over-used and forgotten gems!
