Going forward and until further notice, custom orders will work a little differently.

Due to supply chain interruptions, getting some of the items important to bag making has become harder with a longer turn around time when ordered. For that reason I am now only taking 1 - 2 custom orders at a time, dependent on the size of the order/type of bag. Orders in progress will have a 4 - 5 week turnaround time from the time of deposit. My deposit policy HAS NOT changed (50% non refundable to begin work, balance + shipping due at the time of completion before bag is shipped to you).

Beyond current orders, I will be keeping a waitlist that will operate on a first come, first served basis. I will give you an estimate on when I will be able to take on your order, though this is not a hard timeline. You DO NOT need a deposit to enter this list, however when your turn comes up please know if you are not ready to place your order with a deposit within 3 business days of contact I will need to move to the next person in line. While on the waitlist you are welcome to talk to me and build your order to receive a price quote. To get on my waitlist just message the page and I will get you set up!

Finally, please remember my recent change that going forward I will not be working on shop stuff on the weekend. Any messages sent Saturdays or Sundays about being placed on my waitlist or regarding order options will be answered on Mondays.

It's servicing day for my machine! I work on an industrial Juki, which is a fully mechanical machine, and I do all the cleaning and service work myself as needed. Today I am doing the most basic work of cleaning out all the lint that accumulates while sewing, something I do every couple weeks, and changing the oil, which should be done at least yearly and I'm overdue on 😅

Updates! All outstanding hat orders will be mailed on Wednesday and then I will be closing semi - custom hats in order to move onto my next projects and giving them focus.

I should be contacting a couple people on my waitlist by Thursday/Friday this week, thank you for your patience while I get back in the swing of things!

A public post outlining the status of custom orders and how they are being handled/taken going forward will be written up and posted later this week.

And finally, going forward I have made the decision that weekends (Saturday and Sunday only) I will generally not be working on shop stuff. My policies already count turn around times in business days but I have a horrible habit of not sticking to that. As many of you know I do work a full time job outside of this and my work schedule actually falls on weekends so it makes sense not to double book myself with a day of answering messages and locking myself in my sewing room and a night at work.

I hope everyone has the kind of week they need, here's a peek at a recent project and one of the things I'm trying to make time for to bring something awesome to life.💕

I'm gonna try something new in sharing more of stuff while it's in progress! I've had a few people express interest in the "behind the scenes" and I frankly love to talk sewing processes 😅

Today I spent my morning working on a bag, then this afternoon took a trip to my local makerspace to work on cutting out fabric and interfacing for hats and a single glasses case! I love using the makerspace for prep work since there are huge tables not already covered in my bins and iron and other supplies to spread out and cut more easily!

First batch of hats from the Semi-Custom order going out tomorrow 🤩 They are so cute, thank you everyone for giving me a reason to indulge my current hat obsession!

Hat update! Any hats that were ordered and paid for prior to Thursday, July 2nd have been cut and prepped and will be sewn up between tomorrow and Monday with the aim to ship on Tuesday or Wednesday this upcoming week. Hats ordered and paid for July 2nd through to today will have a projected ship date of Saturday, July 11th. No matter where your hat falls in these orders, you will receive an e-mail with tracking when a label is created for your hat to ship!

Any claims on the hat sale up until this point (Sunday 5pm EST) have been invoiced 💕 If you have a claim and did not receive an invoice, let me know and I will take a look. Thank you so much for sharing my love of hats, I'm excited to get these made and out to their new homes!

Semi Custom Bucket Hat Sale - Sunday, June 28th 2020!

Please read the entire post before placing claims. THESE HATS ARE MADE TO ORDER.

All options are in the sale album. Each picture features one exterior print (front most fabric) and one lining fabric (back fabric). Captions of pictures will tell you how many slots I have available for each pair and the cost. Bucket hats are $18 - $20 depending on the fabric. Price does not include shipping, which is $4 for within the US. Please let me know if you are international for a shipping quote.

TO CLAIM: comment on the picture of the fabric combination you would like with your email so that I can invoice you and what size hat you would like (see below for size measurements-- size DOES NOT affect pricing). Invoices will be sent within 24 hours and must be paid within 24 hours of receiving. If not paid, invoice will be canceled and I will move to any next in line claims. Once invoice is paid, I will be sewing orders in order of payment received. Expected turn around time is 7-10 business days from payment dependent on order volume. All orders will be shipped via USPS.

HAT INFO: Hats are made from cotton or cotton canvas depending on print. These contain no significant stretch. Hats come in sizes XS, S, M, and L. Measurements are as follows:
XS - 21in around
S - 22in around
M - 23in around
L - 24in around

SAMPLE HATS. For reference both are size Large. My head measures 23.5in and the mannequin head measures 21.5in. If between sizes it is reccomended to size up.

Semi custom bucket hat sale is coming this Sunday! I will be setting up an album and adding to it today and Saturday options I will have available. I will not be opening the sale until Sunday morning but this way people will be able to have a peek at what choices will be up for grabs and individual print pricing. Order info will be added to the album when it is created later today. It will also be outlined in the official sale post on Sunday.
