We said goodbye to Bosnia & Herzegovina this morning 🇧🇦 and think part of us will miss it.

We arrived knowing very little about the country and left genuinely humbled by the kindness, hospitality, and warmth of the people we met along the way.

Mostar the main city is famous around the world for the wrong reasons, but spending time there over the past few weeks told me a very different story. A city full of history, resilience, culture, incredible food, wine, strong coffee, and people proud to share their home with visitors.

From mountain roads and tiny villages to sunsets over old stone towns, Bosnia & Herzegovina constantly surprised us in the best possible way.

Definitely a country we would recommend spending more time in, especially if you enjoy slower travel, while working remotely with road trips, nature, and destinations that still feel authentic.

Thanks to the STAR Residency Program, which was supported by: & The European Commission

Add Bosnia & Herzegovina to your digital nomad destinations for sure 😀

Most digital nomad projects focus on cities, coworking spaces and the usual remote work hotspots.

This one feels different. 🇧🇦 🇲🇪

We are pleased to be supporting the STAR Digital Nomads Residency Programme across Montenegro and Bosnia & Herzegovina, and we’ll be helping share the journey through our social media channels.

What we like about this project is the focus on rural tourism, local experiences, sustainability and storytelling, showing how remote work can help shine a light on places and communities beyond the obvious destinations.

We are looking forward to sharing more over the coming month.

Remote job hunting can feel like a full-time job… mostly because it’s hard to filter the noise.

So I updated this guide with the sites I’d actually use in 2026, plus a simple way to use them without burning out.

What’s inside:

• 25 websites to find remote work (remote-first + the big platforms with proper filters)
• A quick method: pick 2 main sites + 2 backup sites
• Time zone tips (remote doesn’t always mean “work from anywhere”)
• Scam checklist + FAQs
• A table at the top so you can choose fast

Here it is:

If you’ve landed a remote role before — where did you find it?

Drop your best site in the comments and I’ll add it to the next update.

Chiang Mai has been a digital nomad and remote-work favourite for years, not because it’s “cheap and trendy”, but because it’s easy to live well while staying productive. You can create a routine, find your people, and keep your costs sensible without sacrificing quality of your lifestyle.

We have just spent over a month in Chiang Mai and create a city guide (link in bio)

Bansko Nomad Fest! is it worth it? 👀🏔️

If you like events that feel like a real community week (not a sit-down conference), Bansko is one of the easiest in Europe to arrive solo and leave with actual friends + collaborations.

What it’s like in practice:

✅ You can still get 2–4 hours of work done most days

✅ You keep bumping into the same people (so connections actually stick)

✅ The week has a natural rhythm: wellness + sessions + dinners + hikes + parties

✅ It genuinely feels like a pop-up town for remote workers

Worth it if you:

• want community fast
• like structure + social energy
• enjoy mountain “workation” vibes

Not worth it if you:

• want a quiet week to grind
• hate a busy social calendar
• expect a corporate conference vibe

We’ve put everything into one practical guide (where to stay, best areas, first-timer itinerary, coworking setup + more):

If you’ve been before what’s your honest take? Worth it or not?

Ultimate Bansko Nomad Fest guide (2026): tickets, accommodation, transfers, working during the festival, hot springs day trips, and first-timer playbook.
