Nine By Thirty A silver-enthusiast's dream come true. Nine by Thirty is a jewelry store that serendipitously came into being one fine day in Sydney.

Aparna continues to curate her virtual store from Singapore, where she moved with her family in 2012. Nine by Thirty sells silver and beads/gem based jewelry online and through local exhibitions and open houses. Online sale: Every month or once in 2 months we launch a new collection online. The date and time of the launch is always shared on the page a week or two in advance. To get this update, p

lease like this page and come back often to check :). On the day of the sale, pictures of the new collection are uploaded with codes mentioned under them. Interested buyers need to email aparna ([email protected]) requesting the price list. The list is sent out on a first -email -received -first -serve- basis. Whoever books a piece first gets it (subject to depositing the price amount within 2 days). Pictures of a collection get deleted as and when they get sold. Nine by Thirty is managed by a one woman army. It is practically impossible for Aparna to respond to every query posted as comments and messages. The best way to reach her would be via email. Nine by Thirty sources it's silver from various artisans, stores, silversmiths and suppliers across the globe. The silver you see on our site is NOT designed by Aparna (unless mentioned otherwise). They are picked on a single piece basis and put together and strung by Aparna and presented to you. Orders for another piece are not taken unless specified under the product . Price: Price ranges from SGD65-SGD600. Payment: Via Paypal / bank transfer / Western Union/ Cheque/Cash. Custom orders : Custom orders will be taken by Aparna only if you trust her sense of design. Asking her to tailor make something (simply put- backseat driving), is not her thing :-). Delivery: We ship internationally and use SINGPOST for the same. The delivery time is usually 2 -2.5 weeks. This is the cheapest and most trusted method of shipping, we have experienced. buyers in UK are sometimes required to pay duty as do many other countries (We usually share these specifications with the buyer before shipping). Exchange: Once sold, we do not exchange or refund unless there is a serious damage to the product which might have occurred during shipping. Buyers must notify about the damage within 2-3 days of receiving the parcel.

Mallige / Mogra /Jasmine gajra was an integral part of my growing up years. To watch women freshen up every evening, neatly comb their hair and wear a string of freshly strung gajra which they’d have skilfully knotted, is a core childhood memory. I never had long enough hair as a kid so up they went like a hairband across my head held together with two hair clips.. I bet I looked every bit ridiculous. But what’s a childhood without embarrassing fashion choices carried out with the confidence of a Paris runway model ?!

This Moonstone and Turquoise pendant necklace is named after that core memory - doesn’t it remind you of a string of Mallige ?

September is my favourite month! It is the harbinger of festivities, and Ganesh Chaturthi sets the ball rolling for the last, most celebratory quarter of the year.

I can already smell the incense, taste the modaks, hear the dhol and see Bappa decked in flowers. 🙏🏼🌼♥️

Presenting ‘Bappa’ ~ strung in Lemon Quartz and 92.5 sterling silver. Made for the festive season, yes, but really, it’s a forever piece. One to wear long after the flowers have wilted and the modaks have disappeared. ♥️

Amulets have been in use in Rajasthan for over 4,000 years. We have all witnessed someone or even personally worn /carried an amulet or Taveez to ward off evil. These amulets have always fascinated me and I have been on a hunt for these ever since I set foot in Rajasthan the first time for Nine by Thirty. If you have followed my work over the years you’d have seen these amulets making an appearance time and again. I absolutely love them for the stories they have been carrying for thousands of years and believe they keep me protected - what with all those amulets in my studio 😄!

It gives me so much joy and pride to share these pictures of Malathi Ramachandran with her latest (sixth!) novel, *‘Hampi ~ The King and His Queens’*. I’m thrilled to see Nine by Thirty in the esteemed company of Hampi 🥰.

Malathi Ramachandran is dazzling in a custom Nine by Thirty multi-strand raw emerald necklace, lovingly commissioned by her wonderful family to celebrate her milestone birthday. Since she is a celebrated historical fiction writer, I thought it best to string something for her with a very old/vintage amulet pendant with a warrior deity motif — it seemed just right, given her love for history and ancient stories.

Congratulations on your newest book, aunty, and best wishes for so many more. Also, thank you for making NBT look sooo good ♥️🥰

And soon after, the rains wash away the gloom and there is light . ‘Aalo’, bengali for light, is the inspiration behind this necklace - I made it immediately after I made Megh. Both Moonstones, yet both channeled a different energy when I held them.

Aalo is strung with White Moonstones, luminous and almost ethereal, paired together with a Labradorite pendant that catches the light in the most magical way. Together, they have the calm glow of that first bit of sunlight after a long spell of rain.

Two necklaces, born from the same little story of rain and light ~ ‘Megh’ with its stormy clouds and flashes of brilliance, and ‘Aalo’, with the soft luminosity that follows when the rain has washed the sky clean. Together, they tell a story of the dark clouds giving way to light, of the storm making way for something softer and brighter, and perhaps that is why I couldn’t make just one 🩶 🤍

Have you ever seen rain clouds lit up by a flash of lightning? That’s exactly what this necklace reminds me of.
Interestingly enough, those gorgeous stormy-grey stones are Moonstones, not Labradorites! They have the most beautiful, almost mysterious sheen when they catch the light.

These natural nuggets are paired with a Labradorite pendant, that has  a hint of Rani pink Kundan for that little bit of drama.

Together, they catch the light and shimmer like lightning through rain clouds. You sparkling in this necklace is but a given :).
