As The Silver Lining Project comes to a close in 2 weeks, we look back at some of the sports both volunteers and seniors have participated in on SilverSport Day. On that day, we brought the seniors out of the home to the various locations around the Institute of Mental Health for a round of station games. As SilverSport comes to a close, we thank the SilverSport committee comprising of Brandon Ng, Cheong Chin Kai, Grace Shen and Ebbie for their hard work over the past year.

Begone long hiatus from Facebook!

43 beneficiaries, volunteers and staffs hopped onto a bus towards Gardens by the Bay on 3rd June 2017 and visited the Flower Dome. It was an eventful day as we saw the fusion of SilverTech and SilverSport in an afternoon spent out of the home.

Do check out some of the official photographs by our official photographer, Don Wong as well as the photographs of the beautiful flowers as taken by our volunteers and beneficiaries on the iPads provided by Apple Singapore. The outing to the Gardens marks the final SilverTech session. With this, we would like to thank our SilverTech committee comprising of Leo Wen Zhe, Cheryl Tan and Lim Wei Yan for their hard work over the past year.

The Silver Lining Project returns to Tai Pei Social Service for our 4th Silver Lifestyle installment today.

We welcome our new volunteers, Sing Yee and Jun Wei to our big family!

Seniors and volunteers worked their muscles under the guidance of our volunteer-instructors and sang love songs in the spirit of Valentines.

We hope that all our seniors and ElderBuddies had a joyous afternoon and we hope to see you for our future sessions!

Special thanks goes out to Royston Long for being our volunteer photographer today.

Thank you to all the lovely seniors who were willing to spend this afternoon with us, and a huge hug to all ElderBuddies who came down :) Stay (Feb)ulous and see you all on the 25th!

We took a 3-weeks long break from our previous session, and returned back to Tai Pei Social Service today, the 11th of February 2017.

We are humbled to have new ElderBuddies joining us, as well as new seniors from the home.

Seniors learnt how to use the Camera and Photobooth Apps on the iPad in SilverTech and partook in simple stretches and exercises in SilverSport. We hope that they have thoroughly enjoyed learning and exploring the iPad Air 2 as well as improved their mobility.

21 January 2017 marked the advent of our very first SilverTech Session! Thanks to our friends from Apple South Asia, we were able to explore the iPad Air 2 with our beneficiaries!

We hope that the beneficiaries had fun exploring the myriad of functions that the iPad can provide as well as had a ball of a time partaking in Tai Pei Idol, our very own singing contest!

Congratulations to all the seniors who walked away with fabulous prizes, inclusive cans of very yummy cookies. Everyone's a winner this Chinese New Year, so everyone gets a pair of tangerines too!

With this, Happy Chinese New Year 新年快乐,万事如意 to all our seniors, our volunteers and everyone out there. See you all in February when we return with The Silver Lining Project.

Do you remember a short clip on Anita's Nursing Home Stay which we shared last year? The documentary is finally out and it really provides us an insight to the lives of all the seniors.

Do check it out!
