From Raw Stone to Radiant Gem: The Craftsman’s Journey 🛠️✨

What happens to a raw stone next?

Recently, a client brought us a raw Boulder Opal. While every gem is unique, most go through this same meticulous process:

The Process:

Study: The craftsman starts by "mapping" the stone to locate the hidden veins of color. One wrong move can hide the gem's best features!

Shape: Using precision wheels, we carefully grind away the rough outer layers to find the stone's true form.

Polish: Under a cooling stream of water, the surface is polished to a mirror finish, finally revealing the deep colors and clarity hidden beneath the surface.
