Fire, gold, and deliberate chaos. 🔥✨

This handmade jewellery set brings together two of my favourite ancient metalsmithing techniques: Reticulation and Keum Boo.

🔨 Reticulation which I used a torch to heat the silver right to its melting point, intentionally wrinkling the metal to create that deep, organic texture. No two pieces ever melt the same way.

🏷️ Keum Boo is an ancient Korean technique where pure 24k gold foil is permanently fused to the silver using heat and pressure.

The contrast between the raw, rippled silver and the rich, glowing gold is everything.

There’s something special about letting the gemstones guide the design. 🧡🩵

I started with citrine, drawn to its warm golden glow — like sunlight on warm sand. ☀️ Then came the aquamarines, adding those beautiful cool blue tones and a little movement to the earrings.🌊

From the first sketch to shaping the silver, adding delicate granules and setting each stone, this pair slowly came together by hand.

And here they are… 💎
A little meeting of warm and cool, brought together one detail at a time. 🧡🩵
