Budda Eden is the largest orientalist garden in Europe set in 35 hectares of land and created by Comendador Jose Berardo in response to the destruction of the great Afghan Buddha statues of Bamiyan. Only a 30 min drive from 33 Aldeia Lusitana and entrance fees for. Family less than €20 it is well worth a visit.

Parques dos Monges (Monks Park) is just a few miles north of Alcobaça and €30 will buy a family ticket to various attractions including; small farm, scenic walk, Biblical gardens, iron age village, museum, jousting and fish farm. It is a great palce for a picnic and for an extra cost you there are other activities including a zip wire, climbing wall, canoeing and archery. A great family day out.
