I’ve been wanting to share the story behind our Miraculous Medal because, in many ways, it was where my journey with faith jewelry began.
Years ago, during a mission trip to Cagayan de Oro, I bought my first Miraculous Medal at the Divine Mercy Shrine. I wore it every day. It stayed with me through every chapter of my life, and over the years, I came to recognize the many graces I received through Mama Mary’s intercession. That little medal became part of my faith journey.
When I started Loveleo, many people assumed the Miraculous Medal would be one of our first pieces. It wasn’t.
As much as I wanted to create one, I knew I had to wait. The Miraculous Medal has a prayer on both sides, and I wasn’t willing to compromise its design just to make it happen. I wanted to create a piece that stayed true to the devotion it represents.
Instead, we first introduced our pearl Immaculate Conception pendant.
As Loveleo grew, more and more of you began asking for a Miraculous Medal. Every request reminded me that maybe the time would come, but I still didn’t have the answer.
Then, one day, I met the right manufacturing partner. They made it possible to create the pearl Miraculous Medal I had been hoping for all those years. Today, it has become one of Loveleo’s signature pieces.
Sometimes I look at it and think about the medal I bought years ago in Cagayan de Oro. I never imagined that one day I would have the privilege of creating one for others.
The Miraculous Medal itself began with Our Lady, who entrusted it to St. Catherine Labouré. I believe she also knew exactly when this piece was meant to become part of Loveleo.
