Before I left Aotearoa I began exploring ring stacks, inspired by a commission piece from late last year where I created fitted bands for an existing ring.
Something about the way each piece fits around the other and slots together seamlessly- it makes me think of what putting on pieces of armour must feel like. Empowering, protective and entirely personalised to the wearer.
This led me to begin to envision a series of fitted bands for my own ring designs - the first being shown here: the Archway Ring. Designed to frame the Galadrien Ring, (but can also be worn/stacked individually).
This set is handcrafted entirely in the hardest-wearing materials - diamonds & solid 14ct gold - to truly recreate that sensation of wearing armour in jewellery form.
These stacking bandswill be able to be purchased individually when the studio reopens, allowing you to create your own set of personal armour & adornment.
