A glorious HB winter’s day to be feeling all the gratitude 🙏🏻💚 … the digger has been here for 3 solid months clearing, cleaning and re-creating access, tracks, waterways and fence lines, and is nearly at the finish line (no small feat!); the fencing contractors are here this week and have delicious clear days to crack into it; and we are lucky enough to have two lovely volunteers all the way from Whitianga also helping to resurrect some stock-proof paddocks in preparation for pre lambing rotations and set-stocking (we went from 90 odd stock-proof paddocks to about 10 after the cyclone). We are eternally grateful to family, friends, our community, the wider farming whānau and industry for the kindness, generosity, support and love we have been shown 💚 I nearly feel sorry for the volunteers having to deal with me crying on them out of sheer overwhelm at the appreciation I feel. While we would never wish such a widespread and devastating disaster or experience like this on anyone, we do look forward to our opportunity to pay forward some of the selfless kindness we have received. And now, off to the yards to weigh (hopefully fat!) lambs. Enjoy the sun everyone ☀️💛
