Tessa is on her way back from Busbys strawberries with fresh berries on board. They’ll be here soon. With Busby not open every day we are the sole stockist so grab some while they are here and fresh.

We are opposite Waimata School and have many wonderful products in our farm shop and our eggs? Fresh. True free range from happy birds. Our prices are competitive as well.

We also have fresh organic asparagus. Don’t you just love this time of year. 🍓

Yay it’s still a holiday!

Just letting you know that we are restocked with all of the Kitchen Window gin products. Blackberry & Apple chutney with fireside gin, apricot chutney with gin etc. the list goes on.

Plus fresh supplies of Rose’s Chilli Crisp.

Also lots of organic asparagus. This is the real deal so enjoy.

Tessa is in the farm shop all day ready to say hi.

Welcome to the long weekend. It’s a stunning day today and makes summer seem very close. ☺️

Happy Hens Waihi are open every day through the long weekend. Our eggs are fresh, our chickens are happy and our farm shop is packed with goodies so you can get on with relaxing.

Lots of frozen gourmet meals that you can just chuck in the oven. Desserts and gourmet icecream from Duck Island. We are restocked with the delicious gin products that sold out last weekend. The gorgeous Blackberry & Apple gin chutney is here!

Fresh strawberries from Paul at Busbys and organic asparagus is fresh in our fridge. Liberty Growers greens aplenty including basil, watercress, spinach, lots of lettuce etc and herbs.

It’s been a funny old week here at Happy Hens Waihi with the gorge closed.

Nevertheless we have some exciting new products in our farm shop. From Kitchen Window we have stocked some of their new products. They look remarkable and we hope you’ll like them too.

Also we have sourced some certified organic asparagus. It looks delicious and is fresh and beautiful.

We have a wonderful range of frozen gourmet meals which make dinner a synch and don’t forget about the new chocolate layer cake icecream from Duck Island.

Tessa has restocked some Dubai chocolate from Fruney in the shop which we know a lot of you have been waiting for.

We have lots of Mingle products too. These make mealtimes easy and there’s no nasties so you can feel great about that.

The Out of the Wild petfood freezer is freshly stocked so your fur babies will be well taken care of.

We have everything here at Happy Hens Waihi. Our eggs are superb, there’s a reason everyone loves them. You can’t beat the taste and flavour. Our chickens have unlimited food, water and space to live their best lives. We care deeply about them.

We have lots of beautiful animals here. Bring the kids to feed the chickens and see the goats, alpacas, turkeys and the peacock.

For the animal lovers.

Tina the Turkey appeared the other day with TEN babies. Clever girl. And guess who is the father? It’s the Hoff. Poor Tommee. The new kid on the block elbowed him out of the way and got frisky with Tina.

We’ve locked her up for a few days as she’ll charge back into the paddock and it’s a jungle out there. Needless to say she’s furious. Her babies are thriving though.

Meanwhile Percy the Peacock is showing off to the chickens and sleeping in the big tree in our front paddock.

Big news for the Duck Island icecream lovers. A new flavour has landed! Chocolate Layer Cake Icecream. Here is the description: rich chocolate icecream packed with chunks of chocolate layer cake frosted with tangy chocolate cream cheese icing and scattered with salty malty milk crumbs. How yum does that sound!

It’s the last day of school holidays for some, why not pop in and grab supplies. It’s also the last day of our big egg sale as well so if you need eggs this is the day.

Tessa is in the shop all day ready to say hi.
