Today I was nannying for a friend's niece and nephew. She had purchased two CD's for them last Christmas. I was told they loved the music and today I was lucky enough to see that for myself!
Three year old Sophia jumped in the car and asked to hear 'my song' on the way to preschool. When I started to sing along she said 'please stop Hayley' as clearly it was her music and not mine! Sophia knew some of the words and had a big smile.
Later in the day I was locked out of the house with baby George. I wrapped him up and sat in the front seat to try and keep him warm and calm. I put on the lullaby from his CD and as you can see from the photo he was asleep within minutes!
It was so nice to see the benefit our music has on children! A very memorable gift indeed!
