So when the women at Beads for Life indicated that they were interested in taking English lessons, we jumped to the occasion. Organising this weekly Basic English Class, we aim to create a supportive environment where women can learn, grow, and gain confidence.

Meet Artisans Workshop, one of our producers in Kathmandu, Nepal.

We have worked with Artisans Workshop since 2010. They are specialists in traditional jewelry making techniques, like metal sandcasting and high quality finishing. The workshop also offers local paper crafts.

We have cooperated very transparently and improved our productivity and buying processes together.
With varying backgrounds, the women and men at Artisans Workshop are taught financial skills and are involved in decision making within the company.

The artisans call their workplace their family, which reflects the social support system the company offers.

Meet Beads for Life, one of our producers in Nepal.

Since 2009, we have worked with Beads for Life, giving women in Nepal opportunities for income and independence. With every bracelet and necklace they make from glass beads, gemstones and brass, they provide for their families and invest in a better future.

The motto of Beads for Life is: independence is empowerment. As a social entrepreneur, Nimdiki, founder of Beads for Life, aims to invest in skills to create financial independence and economic security.

The workshop employs mostly women. Their specialty is combining materials like glass beads, gemstones and brass charms with handwork techniques like crocheting and beading.
