Here is a little sneak peek.🫣

I wish I had done some things differently when I was in university.

During my university days, my main focus was studying and getting good grades. And honestly, there was nothing wrong with that.

But looking back, I realise there were so many things I could have started doing earlier and done better

Networking.

Building practical skills.

Getting experience outside the classroom.

Using social media to build my professional presence.

I just didn’t know how important all these things were.

It wasn’t that I didn’t but I simply didn’t know.

Then, as I started gaining different experiences, my perspective about life and career began to change.

And I started thinking:

“What if I had known all of this while I was still in university?”

Then I thought about how many other students might be in the same position focusing mainly only on grades because they simply don’t know what else they could be building.

And that is where the idea for The Early Circle came from.

I’m still building it, but I wanted to share where the idea started and why I believe it could be useful to a lot of students.

I've been thinking about something lately.

What if students were encouraged to start building before they graduate?

Not just getting good grades, but also building skills, gaining experience, meeting people, exploring opportunities and becoming more confident in what they can do.

I wish I had understood some of these things earlier.

And that thought has been sitting with me for a while.

So I've decided to do something about it.

I'll be sharing more about it soon.

I've been talking about Google Workspace, and I decided to actually sit down and create something practical for my audience.

I just uploaded Part 1 of my Google Drive beginner tutorial on YouTube.
In this first part, I walk you through:
→ How to create a folder
→ How to create subfolders
→ How to rename files and folders
→ How to delete files and folders

These might sound like very basic things, but being able to organize your digital files properly is a skill you'll use in school, work, remote jobs, Virtual Assistance and everyday life.

And I think digital skills are better learned by doing, not just watching someone talk about them.

So open your Google Drive and practice along with me.

One thing I wish more students understood…

Getting a degree is important, but I don’t think your degree should be the only thing you’re building while you’re in school.

Because eventually, you’ll graduate and realize that the workplace requires more than what you learned in the classroom.

You need to know how to communicate professionally.

You need digital and workplace skills.

You need to know how to solve problems, work with people and adapt when things don’t go as planned.

You need to learn how to network, position yourself, and make people aware of what you can actually do.

And honestly, I wish more students started developing these skills before graduation.

Don’t wait until your final year to start thinking, “What am I going to do after school?”

Start exploring while you’re still in school.

Try things.
Learn new skills.
Build relationships.
Work on projects.
Ask questions.
Make mistakes.
Figure out what you’re actually good at.

Your degree is a foundation. It shouldn’t be the finish line.

I’ll also be sharing some practical tutorials on UTube to help you build some of the digital and workplace skills that can make a difference.

Because sometimes, knowing what you need to learn isn’t enough. You also need someone to show you how.

And this is something I’ll be talking about a lot more very soon.

Earlier this week, I shared why I think Google Workspace is one of those tools you should actually learn to use well as a student, professional in the work place.

I also shared a short video on how to organize your files and folders in Google Drive.

Many online and digital skills have become highly competitive.

That’s why I don’t think the answer is simply:

“Learn a digital skill.”

You also need to learn how to choose and position that skill strategically.

Take Virtual Assistance, for example.

“VA” is a broad field.

A Virtual Assistant can work in:
• Administrative support
• Customer service
• Calendar & email management
• Social media
• Project management
• CRM management
• Research
• And many others

So instead of saying:

“I’m a Virtual Assistant. I can do everything.”

You can start thinking:

“What specific problem can I help someone solve?”

That’s where niching down becomes important.

And if you’re considering Virtual Assistance, here’s the approach I would recommend:

Step 1:Understand what a VA actually does.

Step 2: Choose beginner-friendly services that match your strengths and interests.

Step 3: Learn the tools needed to deliver those services.

Step 4:Practice , don’t just collect certificates.

Step 5: Build evidence of your ability through projects, samples, or practical experience.

Step 6: Start looking for opportunities and apply strategically.

You don’t need to learn everything at once.

You need to become useful at something specific, build evidence that you can do it, and then put yourself in front of the right people.

That’s a much better starting point than trying to become a “do-everything” VA.

Save this if you’re considering Virtual Assistance.

There’s so much pressure to “know exactly what you want to do with your life.”

Especially when you’re in university, after graduating, or even when you’re thinking about changing careers.

But the truth is, nobody really has it all figured out.

While I was in university, I started a jewelry business. I was also into fashion, and then I became a teacher.

Later, I started learning Virtual Assistance and exploring remote work.

Looking back, every single experience taught me something that I carried into the next one.

So if you’re thinking, “I don’t even know what career I want,” you don’t have to panic.

Start by asking yourself:

1. What skill am I interested in learning?
2. What problem could I learn to solve?
3. What opportunity can I explore?

You don’t need to know your entire destination before you take the next step.

Sometimes, you find direction by moving.

So start somewhere. Learn something. Try something. And let the journey teach you.

And if you’re figuring things out too, you’re definitely not alone.
