Something fascinating about leather straps. These straps (especially the brown ones) are made from same piece of leather but the textures are looking rather distinctive. Whilst some of it are grainier and some are appearing flatter, the leather grain pattern varies according to the part of animal hide used and they are all different due to different fibre structure. That’s the beauty of leather you see. The outcome it offers to every piece is exclusive and you never quite find two straps that look the same given they’re from the same leather. Like handcrafted items, it is always full of surprises and unique.

Horween, arguably one of the best leather tanneries in the world. Famous for two of its proud productions: Chromexcel (CXL) and Shell Corodvan(SC), the appreciation for these two leathers only grow greater throughout the years. Especially CXL, No doubt it’s one of my favourite smooth leather selections for its great colour depth and qualities, works well on both modern and vintage watches, always charming.
