The debut of the Seiko Speedtimer in 1969 marked a pivotal moment in Seiko's watchmaking heritage, and these latest Speedtimer designs are the first to feature the robust and reliable 6R in house automatic calibre.
With a depth of just 11.95mm, these timepieces are the slimmest ever 6R models in the brand’s history, and with its super-hard coating, the flowing case shape of this model was first used in 1972 on the famous Seiko 'Panda.'
Under the curved sapphire glass, a silver-white & black dial is encircled by a countdown timer function. The strong Lumibrite coating on the inner-ring reference triangle allows for the countdown timer to be used with clarity during both day and night.
Compact and comfortable, this Speedtimer has a diameter of 39.5mm, and a water resistance of 200m. The in-house 6R55 automatic calibre is accurate to -15/+25 seconds per day, with a three day power reserve.
