John Stockwell was a former CIA officer who, after leaving the agency, became one of its most outspoken critics. In the 1970s, he helped run a covert war in Angola. He said agency leaders lied to Congress, hid operations from the public, and caused unnecessary deaths. He sent a clear insight from being inside the system. It is simple: when institutions operate without transparency, abuse follows.

This applies to tech systems with ghe feansfer of wealth to handful. In reality today these tech systems are public infrastructure, infrastructure which has been systematically created to be non optional by design, meaning people cannot choose not to use them, makes them infrastructure (like water, energy, maps) and yet are these tech systems are held as corporate property with little to zero accountability.

Why people ignored Stockwell despite his first hand insight is simply because of the level of trust the population has in the CIA, enforced through media narratives and education systems. Major news outlets dismissed him. Former colleagues accused him of betrayal. Lawmakers showed little interest. However, the knowledge he imparted resonates today.

The application of his insight. Stockwell worried about secret power inside government. Today, that power has shifted to tech corporations. The systems run automatically, often with no human oversight. But it only appears powerful, the wizard is only as powerful as thr curtain that hides the truth.

The principle of universal human rights has been weaponised by the powerful against nations that refused to comply and were later condemned for their independence. It was meant to apply equally to all. The era of unchallenged Western lecturing is ending. Every nation, especially those with global dominance and long standing immunity, must now answer the same questions.

Consider the historical record, mainly oil resource led interventions. Iraq 2003: US invasion under false pretences, hundreds of thousands dead, oil infrastructure destroyed. Iran 1953: the US led CIA coup overthrew an elected democracy, and today the same pattern of undermining sovereign nations continues under the guise of democracy promotion and human rights. Gaza now: over 45,000 dead, mass starvation, a genocide case at the ICJ, armed and shielded by the United States. The West continues to lecture other nations while enabling or committing the very violations it claims to oppose.

At the UN Human Rights Council, nations once silenced are speaking back. This is not a rejection of human rights. It is a rejection of hypocrisy and an end to depravity. The result is a human rights dialogue that is an opening for universalism in practice, not just in name, but for the hopes of peace and a brighter future for all where equality is a reality.

Palantir integrates large datasets by ingesting data across multiple sectors (health, defense, agriculture), some of the largest data sets which obtained without adequate legal provisions, particularly regarding the aggregation of datasets across U.S. departments. It has further expanded into the NHS and military sectors in the UK and now also includes large contracts related to food systems. It is used primarily in defense and intelligence contexts, where aggregated data supports military and security operations, and the company has positioned its role as supporting Western governments and their objectives, as outlined in communications to shareholders about its mission to strengthen for the West.

Eileen Gu, also known as Gu Ailing, is a Chinese-American freestyle skier who competes at the highest international level. Born in San Francisco, she began skiing very young and quickly developed technical mastery across multiple disciplines including halfpipe, slopestyle, and big air. She switched her competitive allegiance to China in 2019, a strategic move that expanded her platform and global visibility. Her accomplishments include multiple Olympic medals, world championships, and recognition as one of the most marketable athletes in winter sports.

Her mindset emphasizes deliberate self-management and continuous improvement. She approaches both physical and mental training with a structured, analytical perspective, using visualization, cognitive rehearsal, and evidence-based preparation to optimize performance. She treats challenges and stress as opportunities to focus and refine skill, rather than as threats, and consistently frames her efforts around process and ex*****on rather than external validation.

Beyond sport, Gu integrates multiple domains into her identity, including academics, media engagements, and fashion, which she views as complementary sources of stimulation and growth. She emphasizes autonomy and self-direction, making choices that align with long-term goals and personal values. Her perspective is reflective and strategic, balancing ambition with mental resilience, and demonstrates an understanding of how to leverage her skills, opportunities, and experiences to sustain high-level performance and influence.

The current world record for the farthest flight by a paper airplane is 98.43 metres (322 ft 11 in), set by Liu Liwen and a team in Shanghai, China, on 28 December 2025. That throw exceeded the previous benchmark by over 10 metres, marking another leap in what has become a systematically engineered pursuit.

This came from engineering of the a paper aircraft like a scaled aerodynamic prototype. They invested hundreds of hours into studying origami and aerodynamic principles, then iterated through 20+ prototypes. This wasn’t simple folding as the final configuration took over 20 minutes to fold and was chosen because it minimized drag while maximizing forward momentum. They selected heavier paper (100 g/m²) to increase inertia, so when thrown at speed it maintained velocity longer in flight.

This 2025 result didn’t emerge from previous work in December 2022 record of 88.31 m set by Dillon Ruble, Nathan Erickson, and Garrett Jensen, three aerospace engineers who transformed the record from the 70–80 m class into the high‑performance paper plane levels by treating the paper aircraft like a aerodynamic prototype. This came from the product of nearly 500 hours of study and iterative design, using simulation and repeated physical testing to refine each fold, weight distribution, and launch parameter before hitting the record flight on their third official throw.

Freedom is typically defined as the capacity to act, communicate, and decide without undue external constraint. In contemporary digital systems, however, this capacity is increasingly conditional. Communication platforms monitor behavior, filter speech, restrict functionality, and impose limits under the justification of safety or risk management. As a result, freedom is reframed from independent action to sanctioned use within tightly controlled parameters.

Technology no longer operates as neutral infrastructure. By embedding rules directly into code, platforms exercise governance in advance of behavior rather than in response to it. Decisions about what can be said, shared, or transmitted are automated, opaque, and largely unchallengeable. Control is structural rather than punitive, shaping conduct through system design rather than explicit prohibition.

The consequence is a shift from individual autonomy to managed participation. Users retain access but not authority. Action is possible only insofar as it aligns with predefined technical and policy constraints. This dynamic is reinforced by global investment flows: as capital continues to fund and scale US-driven technology platforms, investors ultimately concentrate power in the very systems that govern them, entrenching control rather than decentralizing it.

Day 1 of 365: Humanity’s Annual Performance Review

The year began with the usual display of solemn citizens occupying benches across the nation, staring into the void with expressions of profound existential gravity. Observers reported a parade of brooding figures, each seemingly rehearsing the art of quiet despair, as if the weight of self-reinvention were pressing down on them before the first cup of coffee. Experts note this is part of a predictable ritual: humans collectively committing to dramatic transformations they are statistically unlikely to sustain.

Despite this contemplative gloom, consumer activity surged as individuals vowed sweeping changes—from financial discipline to life-altering resolutions. Analysts caution that historical patterns suggest enthusiasm rarely survives the month: benches will empty, motivation will fade, and only minor reminders. “It’s a delicate balancing act between hope and inevitable disillusionment,” said Dr. Ima Skeptic, cultural analyst.

Meanwhile, cafés and shops reported unusually high engagement, with hopeful patrons pausing mid-purchase to gaze contemplatively at nothing in particular. “They sit, they ponder, they buy, and the cycle continues,” said one barista. “By February, the streets and benches will be quiet again, but for now, the performance of annual reinvention is in full swing, and oddly inspiring to watch.”

Grace Jones has long challenged conventional ideas about women and femininity. She emphasizes that women are inherently strong, in part because they are allowed to express emotions in ways men are often discouraged from doing. For her, this emotional capacity is not a weakness but a source of adaptability and insight, showing that strength can come in many forms.

She resists being labeled by external ideologies, such as feminism, preferring to define her own identity. Jones views gender not as a fixed category but as a set of traits that can be expressed flexibly. By combining traditionally masculine and feminine characteristics, she demonstrates that personal expression and self-definition are more important than conforming to societal expectations.

Jones also stresses self-reliance and self-creation. She believes in valuing oneself independently of others’ validation and rejecting rigid beauty standards. By setting her own criteria for presence, appearance, and behavior, she highlights the importance of authenticity and autonomy, encouraging women to define their own paths rather than follow prescribed norms.

In the 1930s, ice follies and touring skating revues were extremely popular in the United States, combining athletic skating with theatrical staging, costumes, and music. Eleanor Powell was already famous for integrating tap dance technique with figure skating, which was unusual at the time. The skating sequences in the film are the main attraction, showcasing skating as a legitimate performance art and reflecting Hollywood’s interest in translating popular live spectacles into cinematic form, especially using Technicolor to heighten glamour and movement.

Paul Smith explicitly rejects formal colour theory frameworks (he does not subscribe to them and does not follow predictive “colour forecasts”). Instead, he treats colour as a creative choice anchored in instinct, observation, and surprise rather than strict rules.
