Happy New Year to all you lovely folks!

I continue to restore my collection of glass beads here in sunny Portugal. Big challenge is to have just a small torch. I definitely miss the power of oxygen-driven beast :).
And I just realized that exactly 12 years ago I've started to make beads for next year's mascot. So happy Snake year 2025! Let's make all your wishes come true!

Finally, got my set up ready for some action. No oxygen generator yet but kiln works. Work is slow, really slow.
One thing I realized - first time I tried to make Year’s mascot was exactly 12 years ago and it was snake. Next year will be the Year of Snake by Chinese and Japanese calendar. So it marks some kind of milestone for me 🙂.
Hopefully I will get some interest to my work here in Portugal. Not so many lampwork artists are around

Watching "Blown Away", Season 4 on Netflix. Never made such big glass sculptures but their work is mesmerizing.
I'd like to see something like that for glass beads as well

I still love to work with glass but sometimes it is not possible at the moment. So I spend time with . Photo shows raw drying batch waiting for firing.
