It all started with Gauri Ganpati approaching and a little thought: I wanted to wear my Chanderi saree with a dainty 3-lada but this time made with natural freshwater pearls.

Green has always been my favourite. There’s something about a deep, rich green that brings an ethnic look together so effortlessly. That’s the beauty of it believe me, try it.

And so began the sketching, the imagining, and eventually, the making of our most unfettered piece yet; the Menaka Devi Neckpiece.

The first time I met her, I was immediately taken in by her personality, her gorgeous saree, her symbolic bindi, her ability to express herself and even her whiff of fragrance it was the Amrita perfume she wore from Forest Essentials.

Knowing her and hearing her story spoke so much about resilience, womanhood and thriving in the world of catering. Her company manages the catering for the renowned Dinanath Hospital, among many others.

But one thing that stayed with me was her energy.

What a lady!
