Officially started in 2011, our designs are inspired by Indian culture and made with non-toxic material. While being aware and cautious of our environmental footprint, we also want to create more employment opportunities and safe work spaces for both upcoming artists and struggling communities in India. n 2004. While studying, she had a vision – to see her art being worn by enthusiasts around the world. She was always inspired by nature, and took pleasure in creating designs that shared her joy with others. Despite being disadvantaged herself – one leg significantly shorter than the other, which impacts her mobility – Sandhya began to overcome personal challenges and societal pressures, especially about a woman’s role in India, and started Indiankala in 2011. Today, she has a team that takes pride to have joined her in her journey, working together to realize her vision.
