In the heart of Johari Bazaar, beneath painted facades, carved balconies and corridors shaped by centuries of craftsmanship, stands Maliram Puranmal Rawat; among the jewellery houses appointed to the city since Jaipurβs very origin.
The iconic Rawat family building remains deeply woven into the old cityβs jewellery legacy. While the showrooms have since expanded beyond the walled city and far beyond Jaipur itself, much of the work still returns here; to these rooms, these windows, this light.
There is an instinctive pull to the space. The soft north light that falls perfectly onto gemstones, the familiarity of the surrounding karigars and ateliers, the rhythm of Johari Bazaar itself; all of it continues to shape the making process even today.
More than an address, this building remains a working archive of Jaipurβs jewellery history, where generations of craftsmanship continue β¨
