We move through different emotional states every day, and the way we respond to them slowly shapes who we become. Love, fear, anger, wonder, calm, compassion — each emotion leaves a trace, and together they form our identity.
This thought led me to explore the idea of Navras, the ancient Indian understanding of the nine emotional states that define human experience. Through this collection, I wanted to translate each emotion into a tactile piece of art — something that can be worn on the body or live within a space, carrying the presence of that feeling.
For me as an artist, people remain the greatest source of inspiration.Conversations, observations, shared moments — these are what keep my mind alive. The more I listen, the more I realise how deeply we are shaped by the emotions we go through.
The Navras collection grew from these encounters — from the many bhavas we experience, often without noticing, yet carry within us always.
Through metal, glass, and fire, I try to give those invisible states a form.
Because sometimes, when emotion becomes visible,we understand ourselves a little better.
