Come visit the Studio and say hello toTammi, we are right opposite the Castle in Kilkenny in the CastleYard next door to the National Design and Craft Gallery. Tammi is a huge part of Patrick Joseph, and in many ways she is the heart of the shop.
While so much of what we do begins at the bench and forge with steel, precious metal, wood and countless hours of making, it is Tammi who brings another equally important side of Patrick Joseph to life, the welcome, the conversation, the care, and the relationship with the people who walk through our door.
She has an incredible way with customers. She makes people feel comfortable, gives them time, listens to what they are looking for, and understands that when someone chooses a handmade knife or a piece of jewellery, they are often choosing something that will stay with them and their families for generations.
That human connection is a big part of the Patrick Joseph ethos.
We believe craftsmanship should feel personal. It should have integrity. It should carry the hand of the maker, but also the story of the person who chooses it. Tammi understands that instinctively, and she brings warmth and personality to the shop every single day.
The shop in Castle Yard is not just where we sell our work. It is where people come to discover it, talk about it, handle it, ask questions, and understand why handmade still matters so much.
And Tammi is at the centre of that experience.
A huge thank you to for these fantastic photographs. She has captured Tammi, the shop, and the spirit of Patrick Joseph beautifully.
