THREE YEARS AGO, WE TOOK THE BANANA REEF TO TOKYO

Back in 2023, we made this video for Sunrex Banana Reef in Tokyo.

And a very good friend who helped make the whole thing happen.

At the time, we thought, “This is going to be amazing for Sunrex.” 😂

Well… let's just say the marketing results weren't exactly spectacular.

But looking back three years later, there's something we really love about this video.

We had fun.

We were experimenting. We were learning how to tell the Sunrex story. And most importantly, we were creating something because we genuinely loved the watch.

The Banana Reef was designed as our tribute to the golden age of underwater exploration — inspired by the style of 1930s dive watches, but brought into the present with modern solar technology.

Black DLC case.
Vintage-inspired dial.
Solar-powered Epson VS75A movement.
100m water resistance.
Chronograph function.
Domed crystal.
Leather + Tyvek straps.

A vintage soul with modern practicality.

And somehow, three years later, we’re still talking about it.

So we thought we'd bring this little piece of Sunrex history back.

Tokyo, 2023.
Banana Reef.
Good people.
Good memories.

Maybe not every project needs to be a huge success.

Sometimes, it's enough that you had a great time making it.

And that's a memory worth keeping.
