While thinking and searching for a bright and inspiring name, the idea of “sun thavma” was born! In Greek “thavma” means “miracle” and it is a pan which has two meanings, since “sun” in Greek acoustically translates “like a”. So, on the whole it sounds “like a miracle” in Greek, while at the same time, it means “miracle of the sun” in English! The inspiration for the name stems from the union of C
reation and Light, the one being included in the other, like the things you take separately and when you combine them, you create something new with its own special energy and its own uniqueness! Therefore, it is through our work with handmade jewelry that we decided to present you with our project! They are jewelry created with love and inspiration under the sunlight of South Crete! The need to express our soul, which first appears on our bodies, has its roots in the ancient civilizations. In the same way, the first expressions of our soul appear on our bodies first, before we can realize it.The ancient people were very aware of that and therefore, jewelry had a major role in these societies, in which people adorned their bodies depending on what they felt, what they wanted and what expressed their soul! The creation of our jewelry is the first expression our soul and it is through “Sun Thavma” that we are going to try to express what we believe in and share it with you! This soul expression is not constrained only to the adornment of the body and to our handmade artwork, but it extends into everything we create, represent and share. It is a part of our philosophy and our lifestyle and it extends to everything that concerns us. In a world where you can make everything with your own hands! This is what we are trying to do through “Sun Thavma”, with lots of sun and lots of miracle! It is something………like a miracle! Welcome to Sun Thavma Projecta! Sun Thavma, ας ξεκινήσουμε με το όνομα! : )
Μετά από πολύ σκέψη, ψάχνοντας να βρούμε κάτι φωτεινό που να μας εμπνέει,
γεννήθηκε η ιδέα του sun thavma!
Το sun thavma είναι ένα λογοπαίγνιο που έχει δύο νοήματα,
αφού ηχητικά στα ελληνικά ακούγεται ''σαν θαύμα'',
και στα αγγλικά σημαίνει θαύμα του ήλιου, την ίδια στιγμή ταυτόχρονα!
Η έμπνευση του ονόματος πηγάζει απο τη ενώση της Δημιουργίας και του Φωτός,
που το ενα εμπεριέχεται μέσα στο άλλο,
ακριβώς όπως με πράγματα που παίρνεις ξεχωριστά
και όταν τα συνθέτεις δημιουργείς κάτι καινούργιο με την δική του ξεχωριστή ενέργεια
και τη δική του μοναδικότητα!
Μέσα απο την ενασχόληση μας με τα χειροποίητα κοσμήματα λοιπόν,
αποφασίσαμε να σας παρουσιάσουμε την εργασία μας!
Κοσμήματα τα οποία δημιουργούνται με αγάπη και έμπνευση
κάτω απο το φώς του ήλιου της Νότιας Κρήτης!
Η ανάγκη για έκφραση της ψυχής, η οποία εκδηλώνεται πρώτα στο σώμα μας,
έχει τις ρίζες της απ΄ τους αρχαίους πολιτισμούς.
Όπως η βροχή, που πρώτα συναντάει τα βούνα πριν να πέσει στη γή,
έτσι και οι πρώτες εκφάνσεις της ψυχής εκφράζονται πρώτα στο σώμα μας,
πριν το συνειδητοποιήσουμε εμείς.
Αυτό το γνώριζαν πολύ καλά όλοι οι αρχαίοι λαοί για αυτό και το κόσμημα
έπαιζε σημαντικό ρολό σε όλες τις κοινωνίες οι οποίες και
διακοσμούσαν το σώμα τους ανάλογα με αυτό που ένιωθαν,
που ήθελαν και που έκφραζε την ψυχή τους.
Η δημιουργία κοσμημάτων λοιπόν είναι η πρώτη, δική μας έκφραση
και μέσα από το Sun Thavma θα προσπαθήσουμε να εκφραστούμε
σε κάθε τι που πιστεύουμε οτι μπορούμε να μοιραστούμε!
Αυτή η έκφραση ψυχής λοιπόν
δεν περιορίζεται μόνο στην διακόσμηση του σώματος,
και στις χειροποίητες δημιουργίες,
αλλά εκτείνεται σε κάθε τι που δημιουργούμε, εκπροσωπούμε και μοιραζόμαστε,
είναι μέρος φιλοσοφίας και τρόπος ζωής και επεκτείνεται σε κάθε τι που μας αφορά.
Σε ενα κόσμο που μπορείς να φτιάχνεις τα πάντα με τα χέρια σου!
Αυτό θα προσπαθήσουμε να κάνουμε από το Sun Thavma,
με πολύ ήλιο και πολύ θαύμα!
