Margken Beads & Clothing is proud to partner Henry Djaba Foundation as a service provider in offering handmade beads training to underprivileged Youth, Young Girls and People with disabilities. The goal is to empower them to be self-employed, self-sufficient and financially free. A delegation led by the Executive Director of Henry Djaba Foundation, Honorable Otiko Afisa Djaba (Formal Minister for Women, Children, Gender and Social Protection – Ghana) paid a courtesy call on Chiefs and Queen Mothers in the Somanya in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
A stakeholders meeting was also held at the Somanya Municipal Assembly Hall with the Chiefs, Queen Mothers, Government Officials, Assemblyman, and some Community leaders of the district. The purpose of the meeting was to establish the Henry Djaba Memorial Centre for Ideas and Knowledge. The Centre will seek to provide employable Vocational skills in beading to underprivileged young girls and people with disabilities as a means of ensuring they have a brighter, secured future.
