This is part 1 of this total redecoration of a two bedroom bungalow. And some general repairs
As there to many photos to put in one post.
First thing we did was removing all wall furniture, curtain rails, lampshade, carpets and carpet beads and removed the old underlay in two rooms, as most of the underlay was in good condition, removing mirrors etc etc, as this was a rental.
Removing old wallpaper in one room wear the paper had come ing away and peeling off, due to moisture due to the Tennent drying his laundry in that room,
Removed the wallpaper in front bedroom,
Rehanging of lining paper to the bare walls after preparation, to the front and back bedrooms,
Lounge and dining room we prepared walls and ceilings cutting out cracks and using a scrim to reduce the cracking and filled the cracks.
The walls in the bathroom was like crocodile skin, very small cracks covered the entire walls this is due to a emulsion painted over a eggshell finish and not preparing the surface, it was awful, so we sanded the walls back until smooth, filled any holes, cracks and imperfections.
Kitchen we replaced some tiles that came off from the wall, and regrouted. Prepped the walls and washed down, again filling any imperfections,
Conservatory had very flaky paint, a damaged window seal, Customer did not want to replace it due to costs and asked to just repair it to the best we can. We removed all the blinds in the conservatory due to mold fungi damage due to tenant not opening the windows for ventilation.
After all hard work into the preparation before we can start to redecorate, photos in part two
