I found a couple of project chronograph movements recently as well as a good stock of parts, this is one of the better examples although missing the complete balance, balance c**k and the operating lever spring, which is seen fitted. I had the parts required although the balance needed a new staff, but I wanted to get this one done, a Venus calibre 175 from a 1940s Breitling. I'm a bit of a vintage Breitling fan, and the next one to restore is an incredibly rare Breitling Venus calibre 187 which uses the slightly smaller but essentially the same Venus 150 as the base calibre but has the additions of hour recorder, date and moonphase, from either a Breitling 799 Datora or 801 Chronomat. This one was to experiment with a method of cleaning I learnt recently. The only parts replaced were the mainspring, the clutch wheel and stem which were incorrect, and those that were missing, the operating lever spring and base, balance complete with new staff, balance c**k and screw.
