JJ's Creations Welcome to my page and my world of creativity and love! I'm JJ, and I’ve always believed in the magic of giving things a second life. Never throw anything away!

I’m JJ—part maker, part magpie, and full-time believer that nothing’s ever truly “past it.” From vintage linens to half-forgotten yarns, I upcycle treasures into quirky, one-of-a-kind creations, each with its own story to tell. Everything has the potential to become something new, and if I see a fresh purpose for an item - off I go! Creating has been a part of me since childhood. I was lucky to be

taught sewing by a wonderful primary school teacher and crochet by my talented nana. Their passion and skill still inspire me today. Now, I lovingly craft unique, upcycled items from all sorts of fabrics. Each piece has its own personality, often sparked by my beautiful surroundings here in Derbyshire, a current obsession, or simply by the charm of the fabric or yarn itself. You might just find something here that speaks to you. Sewing became a true passion of mine in my teenage years - when I was often caught up in the buzz of the latest trends. Whether it was punk, new romantic, or another bold 80s craze, I was always stitching up something expressive and unique. Fashion was fun, and I loved the freedom of creating my own take on it. Now that I’m a little older (and a little wiser!), I’ve been joyfully reconnecting with those creative moments - rediscovering the pleasure of making, and sharing it with you. Each piece I create is crafted with care and love, ready to find its ‘forever home’. I truly hope they bring as much joy to you as they’ve brought to me. If you have a special request, I’d love to hear it. I welcome commissions and am more than happy to create something bespoke for you—especially from your own cherished, reusable fabrics. JJ

BIG NEWS INCOMING...

🧶 JJ's Creations' crochet Workshops have moved! 🧶

We are now in Roger's Room at
Rosliston Forestry Centre.

These fun and friendly sessions are open to everyone whether you’re a complete beginner, want to refresh your skills, or simply enjoy crafting with others in a relaxed setting. It’s a lovely way to learn something new, meet people, and spend a couple of hours being creative.

😊 Supportive, welcoming environment
🌟 Beginners very welcome

Workshops take place on the 2nd and last Saturday of each month from 1.00–3.00pm, and cost just £8.50 per session - a £1.50 parking ticket is required (thus keeping the total price to £10); JJ shall give you a voucher to display on your dash board that lasts all day.

Come along, enjoy yourself in wonderful company, and give crochet a try, you might just get hooked!

I can guarantee from my own experience from taking my own classes to Rosliston Forestry Centre since 2000. From year 3 to year 6... they loved it. 🐛

There is a huge variety of activities that you can do with your classes.🐝 Everything can be adapted to suit your requirements.🦔

Go on... you'll have an amazing time. 🦡
