It's been a week of sanding down through the grades of wet & dry paper, but almost there!

I love these big bold statement pendants and usually pair them with flexible necklets (see last image) but they look equally good on a long silver snake chain.

This one will be heading off to soon. Very much looking forward to meeting them in person this time. 🙂

There was a slight chill to the air this evening in Haugh Wood. All was quiet, apart from bird song and a cuckoo - the first one I've heard in years.

Where they'd felled some pine trees last year, there was now a little forest-in-waiting tucked inside protective sleeves. I couldn't resist a peek and was just tall enough to see the tiny saplings of oak, beech and sycamore deep inside. 🌱🍂

Further on, the pool was still silent. No frogspawn, damsel or dragonflies yet. And a little further on still, I came across a small herd of deer grazing at the woodland's edge - so delicate and entirely at home in this beautiful place. 🦌🦌

I've found a lot of uses over the years for things that are often simply discarded, such as the ties that come wrapped around the electrical leads of new appliances.

They are great for holding on to earrings while polishing and don't damage the silver because they are rubber-coated. They give just that little bit of extra hold to stop them from flying through the room!
