Moon & Fern Plate 🌿

We're on the countdown now to the Truro Food Festival with just under two weeks to go!!

Who's hoping to make it over? It's always so much fun and packed with the most amazing Cornish makers, producers and artisans - you're not going to want to miss it! ☆♡☆

I'm currently making some gorgeous little pieces to bring along, so if there's anything in particular you're hoping to see from me, please do let me know and I'll do my best to accommodate!

This September I'll be back at the Truro Food Festival on the Lemon Quay from the 23rd to 27th of this month.

Totally excited to be back again amongst so many talented artisans and craft people. Let's hope the weather will be kind, and the food will be *cheff kiss!*

I'm really looking forward to seeing you all again with new pieces of ceramics to celebrate the turning of the seasons.

Hey!!

How have you all been?! It feels like ages since I've posted an update here! ✨️

HAPPY SEPTEMBER 💫🌿

Here we are amongst the 'ber' months - I hope it's been a good start for you all so far!

I've got loads to share with you about upcoming work scheduled for September, some dates of where you can find me with lots of new ceramic pieces and shortly I'll say more on an exciting collaboration!!

Summer of Love 💙☀️

What a corker this Summer has been! Needless to say we've had the most beautiful of weather with endless sunshine and blue skies, the perfect vibe for outdoor markets, and yesterday's DiscoveryMarket in Falmouth was another beauty. I always say you never know who you're going to meet, and yesterday was no exception - a smattering of new lovely traders and customers who filled my day with happiness and purpose🌙

Over the next two weeks I'm going to be stepping away from the mud and a roasting hot studio to focus on some family time before my boy heads off to uni in September. I'll be taking commissions again at the end of September and look forward to a packed Autumn of events and markets. More to follow!

Thank you as ever for sharing a convo or a smile with me in the wild, and for supporting me here in this community via a follow or kind comment. Nothing gets taken for granted and I can't wait to welcome you back on the Bkaha Ceramics choo choo in the Autumn!

Golden 🌿 💛

How delicate are these gorgeous grasses and cow parsley seed heads pressed into this platter!?

The gold heart between the two seed heads signified the love between the newly weds! Simple and beautiful ✨️

This Thursday I'll be heading out to Falmouth for the DiscoveryMarket on The Events Square! Feels like a while since I've been back in Falmouth! Really looking forward to seeing you there!

PORTHLEVEN ♡💙♡

Fancy coming to Porthleven Market tomorrow for a soirée by the sand?! I'll be set up FOR THE LAST TIME this summer in the pergolas overlooking the sparkly and joyous inner harbour ✨️

I honestly think Porthleven has it all, and I'm certainly going to miss my weekly markets there!

Cow Parsley & Grasses Plate

I love the colour of this underglaze and how the gold lustre shimmers and shines on the dragonfly and on the rim of the plate. One of my favourites actually!

If you happen to be around Porthleven this Sunday, I will be there from 10-5 set up with Porthleven Market for my last Porthleven market of the Summer! It's flown past, but I've enjoyed it all immensely.

Ex-squeeze me, but how beautiful have the tall, seed head grasses been recently. Usually their brown tones are a stark contrast to the lush green grass and colourful wildflowers slowly going over to seed- but with the extreme heat and lack of water, everything seems to be blending into the same dry hue.

Still oh so pretty, and seen eternalised here in this late summer flower pocket 🌼

Here comes the sun ☀️

Pardon my french, but, f**k me, that was scorchio out there today at the Porthleven harbour. A gorgeous day filled to the brim with all things summery and shiny. A simple thank you never seems enough really - but I mean it with more weight than you'd think.

From the whys behind the pocket hug purchase, a chat, a high five, a hug (lots of hugs) a laugh and some cake, to many a shared story. These interactions are just a few highlights from my weekend with you.

You're all bleekin' beautiful and I appreciate it all.

Who's feeling autumnal? 🍂

Maybe it's just me, but my cooking apples are falling from the tree, the seed heads are everywhere and so are the blackberries! How is it faring where you are?

This flower pocket is my smallest yet and features a simple black sgrafitto boarder and the seed head from one of my garden alliums. Her new owner was thrilled with it, enough that another family member hopped over to my stall and purchased her big sister pressed with olives (from my tree, Olivia, of course!!)

I hope you all have a restful weekend, and if you happen to be mooching around in Truro, you are in for a treat as CORNWALL SHOP SMALL will be set up doing their residency curated market on the Lemon quay from 9-4. Please do come over and see us, you'd be most welcome. ✨️
