Samuel Jones Pearls enters new chapter alongside Raw Pearls
Raw Pearls has announced that it will take over the running of Samuel Jones Pearls from Monday 20th April. Samuel Jones Pearls, one of the longest-established names in the industry, traces its origins back to 1916 and is recognised as the original importer of cultured pearls into the UK. The business has long-standing ties with the Japanese pearl industry and has built a reputation for quality, expertise, and trusted customer relationships over many decades. Following the retirement of owners Richard & Claire Maymon, the business will now be run alongside Raw Pearls, led by Miranda Raw. While both brands will sit within a single company, each will remain true to its distinct heritage and offering. Raw Pearls will continue to focus predominantly on freshwater pearls, while Samuel Jones Pearls will remain rooted in its long-standing expertise in Japanese saltwater pearls.
Customers will benefit from access to both ranges through a single point of contact.
Miranda Raw commented: “It is a privilege to take on such a respected and historic name within the pearl trade. Our aim is to continue that legacy while ensuring customers benefit from the combined strengths of both businesses."
The transition has been carefully planned to ensure continuity for existing customers. The Samuel Jones brand will continue to offer its most popular, well-established product lines and services.

Samuel Jones Pearls ranges will be available to view at The Jewellery Show at Olympia London on 2–3 September 2026.
