Who hasn’t come home from the beach with pockets full of rocks?! 😅
Some of my favourite jewellery pieces are the ones that remind me of something. Every time I wear them, I can carry a bit of that time with me.

😂😂 I hate talking on camera!
Anyway, the new CabKing is FANTASTIC! I can’t believe how quickly it got here, and it was easy to set up and get running.
It’s going to give those who choose to attend the courses in pairs, more of choice as to how they would like to cut their stones.
For those of you who a super organised and good at forward planning….

This is what keeps me coming back to my workshop! (And Scotland!)
I had the whole day to myself on the machines, so decided to poke around in my pebble pile in the garden.
Nothing beats cutting a material that you’ve collected yourself!
I’m going to make a pair of earrings out of these. They’re not perfect and have got a few pits and marks but to me they’re absolutely beautiful and they’ve just been sitting in my pebble pile waiting to be released.

Start something new!
It’s such a thrill to cut and polish your own gemstones and I’m so happy to invite you to my Cheshire Lapidary Workshop 😃

The courses run from 10-4pm, so for those coming long distances, let me know if you need hotel recommendations.

I had award winning jeweller Joanna Stoinska and her daughter Mags join me in the workshop for my beginners lapidary course 😃
We had such a great day! Although Joanna has experience of faceting, she had never cut a cabochon before. It’s SO different and in my opinion, much more expressive, allowing for ultimate freedom in the final result and extremely satisfying. To get the best results, it pays to learn all the basic principles first and that’s what my beginners lapidary course is for.
Thanks for your wonderful company ladies, and well done on producing exceptional cabochons. All four stones were absolutely stunning!

Why not come and have a go? Whether you are looking to elevate your jewellery skills or are just curious about a little known craft, it’s well worth investing a day on this beginner’s lapidary course.
It’s a really lovely home workshop environment that helps create a welcoming, calm space in which to learn.
