Iβve been hanging back from opening my order book and Iβve spent loads of time trying to figure out why.
Itβs not that I donβt love creating - I love it.
But as Iβve thought about it more and more, Iβve realised that the reality of running a small business, and the huge amount of time and energy that goes on behind the scenes, has slowly taken the joy out of it for me.
So Iβve decided to listen to my gut and close Through The Hoop.
I feel really sad, but now that the decision is made, I also feel a sense of relief.
Iβve appreciated each and every order more than I can say, especially knowing they were forever keepsakes. Iβve truly loved making them.
Iβm also incredibly proud of the 800 or so little wire hugs I made during the pandemic. They will always be my most treasured items because of what they meant to the recipients at that time. Iβm so grateful to everyone who bought one.
I wonβt be closing this page, I still want to be able to look back at everything Iβve created, and if I ever feel like doing the odd market, I can keep in touch and let you know. I also follow so many wonderful small businesses here, and I want to continue supporting them.
So once again, thank you from the bottom of my heart for your love and support over the last five and a half years.
