Packaging! Some of you may have already noticed that some pieces (especially the cheaper ceramic pieces) aren't in gift boxes, but are arriving as pictured. This is for both environmental and cost reasons, I hope this is okay? Any items above £20 will come in boxes though. If you're desperate for a gift box on an order, just message me and I'll sort one out for you.

WOOHOO! Shipping to the USA has now re-opened!
Not only that, what you see is what you pay - I used a "delivered duties paid" service*, so you don't get a surprise bill your side.



*I cover the cost of the 10% tariff by increasing the price for USA customers by a little. I then submit it to the delivery company who then pays the US government.

So... sterling silver prices and where do I go from here?

You may have noticed that I have been offering items with silver plated findings as standard recently, with options of sterling silver upgrades. Basically the price of silver has shot up out of all recognition right now - as you can see from the graph below!!!

Frankly, sterling silver is just too expensive for me to offer as standard any more. Not without upping the cost of the items a LOT. So I thought I would offer top quality silver plated items as standard with an option for a sterling upgrade. To keep prices still reasonable as we are all struggling in these times.

The silver plated findings and chains are of a superb quality, from an excellent wholesaler here in the UK. Not Chinese sourced - so they will follow the EU Nickel directive. They also do some plating themselves and I was SO impressed by the quality. I am proud to put my work with their chains and findings, so please trust that option if allergies allow.

As for the cost of the sterling silver upgrades, they may end up having to go up in cost still. I will have no choice. Prices have more than doubled for me since I last bought items. Earrings will go up too, as I *only* use sterling silver earwires.

With GPSR trade barriers with the EU and Northern Ireland, tariff confusion (and increase?) with the USA and now these silver prices, things are getting really tough for micro-businesses like mine.

Hi all. I've closed the shop/business until further notice to focus on my family as we nurse a loved one coming to the end of their life. They have end stage Alzheimer's disease, and things have been pretty tough of late, especially the last week . Lots of liaising with GPs, hospices, district nurses, carers as well as trying to spend quality time with them and trying to keep them comfortable.
I do intend to come back, but when I don't know. This particular end of life journey seems to be more of a marathon than a sprint, with a lot of ups and downs added. It's tiring for us all.

I was so desperate to get the business back to normal after the stresses of the past couple of years. But alas it wasn't meant to be quite yet, and like so many of us middle aged women I've found myself on a career break to focus on caring for elderly family members.
