We work together as a partnership from our forge and studio in the heart of the Shropshire hills creating Traditional and Contemporary Hand Forged Ironwork and Hand Made Kiln Fired Glass. Roy has a sound background of engineering, architecture and fine art, now working as an Artist Blacksmith in steel, wrought iron, copper and occasionally other metals to produce bespoke metalwork to the highest q

uality and uncompromising design and craftsmanship. His work encompasses everything from candle holders, fireside tools and furniture to garden accessories, gates, railings, balustrades and sculptures. Jacqueline became inspired to work with glass whilst following a City and Guilds Design for Creative Studies course at Westhope Craft College in Shropshire. She is now a glass artist creating original glass designs using vibrant coloured Art Glass, often with copper and brass inclusions, to produce unique and beautiful glass items for the home and Dichroic glass jewellery with solid hallmarked Sterling Silver findings. Where possible we both draw our inspiration from the huge resources that nature around us in Shropshire has to offer creating our own individual and mostly functional pieces of art as well as collaborating to create designs in both metal and art glass.

I am allowing my inwoodglass domain name to lapse and will no longer be available on [email protected]. This will also mean that my website will also close down. I continue to have my glass cabinet at the Willow Gallery, Oswestry and can be contacted on [email protected]. I do intend to continue on a small scale with my glasswork into the forseeable future.

Jacqueline has spent two wonderful days with award winning glass artist and designer, Steve Robinson in his wonderful and spacious glass workshop in St Davids. Steve's encouragement, and willingness to share his wealth of experience resulted in the creation of a beautiful glass panel using vibrant enamel powders in Jacqueline's signature 'acer leaf' design and has paved the way for some powder glass work for the future!
