To be her… ✨

The girl covered in neon paint, dancing at a festival 15 years ago without a second thought, wild, free, and completely unapologetic. She didn’t overthink, she didn’t shrink, she just was.

Somewhere along the way, life happened. Lessons, heartbreak, growth, responsibility… and I softened, questioned and held back.

Lately, I’ve been finding my way back to her. Not by undoing the years, but by weaving her spirit into the woman I am now.

A little less reckless, a lot more grounded…
but still colourful, curious and free in the ways that matter most.

Hey guys I did a scary thing… I published my first piece on Substack 📝

It’s about unlearning people-pleasing, setting boundaries, and the weird moment you realise that becoming yourself can turn you into the “villain” in other people’s stories.

For a long time, I thought being liked meant I was doing something right; turns out I was often abandoning myself in the process.

This one’s for anyone who’s ever felt guilty for changing, saying no, or no longer being as “easy” as they once were.

“Þetta reddast” — it will all work out in the end. 🇮🇸

I came across this Icelandic saying on my recent trip, and honestly I can’t think of a better way to sum up the feeling of being there. There’s something so refreshing about a place that leans into trust, calm, and going with the flow, especially when life back home can feel so fast, pressured, and overwhelming. I’m trying to take a little piece of that mindset forward with me 🤍

This trip felt like stepping onto another planet. Snow covered everything, dramatic skies, and landscapes that didn’t quite feel real: from glaciers to geysers, waterfalls to striking architecture, and the cosiest galleries tucked away in between. 🗻

We hired a car and (slightly terrifyingly) drove through a full on blizzard, which somehow made it all the more unforgettable. I was trying my best to channel “Þetta reddast” energy the whole time 😅

It was also my first trip since going pescatarian, and Iceland absolutely delivered! So many incredible fish spots, and surprisingly amazing options for being dairy free too. Already thinking I might need to dedicate a whole post just to the food...maybe illustrated next time?! 🐟

A trip that felt grounding, awe inspiring, and oddly calming all at once. More of this life please ✨

All about SHE♀

With International Women’s Day last week and March being Endometriosis Awareness Month, I’ve been thinking a lot about the pressure that comes with being a woman.

The version of “success” we’re constantly shown is very specific: thriving career, perfect mum, six-figure salary, spotless home, toned body, endless energy. Effortlessly holding it all together while being everything to everyone....
..and while some women genuinely want that version of life, the problem is how often it’s presented as THE version. The benchmark. The thing we should all be aiming for.

But real life rarely looks that tidy.

For a lot of us it’s slower, messier, more complicated. Success might look like getting through a hard week, protecting your energy, changing direction, resting when your body needs it, or choosing a life that feels right for you even if it doesn’t impress anyone else.

Maybe a more honest representation of women leaves space for all of that.

Different paths. Different priorities. Different definitions of what a good life looks like.

And maybe the most important thing is learning to be a little kinder to ourselves in the middle of it all; giving ourselves grace and turning the volume down on the outside voices telling us who we should be.

Just some thoughts I’ve been sitting with lately.

Spring has officially sprung 🌼

Muddy dog walks that end with very happy dogs (and very muddy boots) 🐾
Flowers starting to bloom everywhere you look 🪻
Good food, slow moments, longer days ☀
Creating again with fresh inspiration 🎨
And getting to share my story with the next generation of creatives, which still feels a bit surreal 🤯
