Orders over £75 are automatically upgraded to Royal Mail Special Delivery, at no extra cost to you. This service offers enhanced compensation cover, giving you extra reassurance when sending a more valuable piece of jewellery. ❤️

Every order is carefully packaged with my branded jewellery tins, a business card and those little finishing touches that make it feel special. Depending on the size of your order, it will arrive in either a fully recyclable cardboard box or a recyclable card envelope.

✨ A little sympathetic cleaning… bringing vintage treasures back to life ✨

In my last post, I shared a little glimpse of my hands — the hands that have created, worked, made and supported my creativity over the years, with the rings I wear every single day. ❤️

Today, I wanted to share another little part of what I do behind the scenes at I Love Vintage Jewellery.

There’s something I absolutely love about gently bringing a piece of vintage jewellery back to life. ✨ It’s about sympathetic cleaning — taking the time to understand each piece, respecting its age, character and patina, and carefully revealing its beauty again without taking away the things that make it special.

A little time, patience and attention can make such a difference. Seeing those details sparkle again, ready to be loved and worn by someone new, is one of the real joys of what I do.

And, of course, cleanliness and hygiene are just as important as how beautiful a piece looks. All my jewellery is carefully cleaned, and all pierced earrings are thoroughly sanitised before they find their new home with you. 🤍

I want you to feel confident not only in the jewellery you choose, but also in the care that goes into preparing it for you.

Whether you’re treating yourself to a little vintage treasure or choosing something special for someone else, I hope you feel the love and attention that goes into every piece.

A little change of pace this week… 💚

It’s half term, and this week I’m swapping the studio for some precious time with my boys.

That means no packing orders or trips to the post office for me this week, but rather than disappear from her completely, I thought it would be lovely to share a few different things with you over the coming days.

We’ll be talking about the stories behind jewellery, sharing a little behind-the-scenes peek at what goes on in the studio, looking at some of my own treasured pieces, and celebrating the lovely customers who make this little business what it is.

Because I Love Vintage Jewellery has never been just about selling jewellery. It’s about the stories, the craftsmanship, the memories and the connections that make these pieces so special.

So, while I’m enjoying a little half-term time with my boys, I hope you’ll join me for a week of jewellery chat, little discoveries and a few things I love. ✨

🍂 A little half-term pause… 🍂

I’m taking a little break from my studio this half term to spend some precious time with my boys. ❤️

As much as I love hunting for beautiful vintage jewellery, photographing new finds and packing your lovely orders, it’s important to me to be fully present with my children and make the most of this time together.

So, the jewellery will be taking a little breather while I swap the studio for family time!

Vintage Sterling Silver Sun & Cloud Pendant ☀️

A little reminder that even when a storm is brewing, the sun is never far away. ☀️

This lovely vintage sterling silver pendant, hallmarked in Edinburgh in 1984, features a sun peeping out from behind a cloud. I love its tactile details: the sun’s gently undulating rays and the softly buffed, almost wispy texture of the cloud. Turn it over and the heavily etched reverse brings to mind rain gathering behind the cloud, as though a little storm might be on its way.

A wonderfully characterful piece, reminiscent of the simple weather symbols we grew up with, and a lovely reminder that the sun will hopefully always find its way through.

A ring with a very special destination 💜

Sometimes, finding a piece of jewellery is even more special when you know exactly who it’s meant for.

I was absolutely delighted when I found this magnificent amethyst ring, knowing straight away that it was destined for my dear friend Karen’s 60th birthday. She has the most spectacular collection of vintage jewellery, but I knew she didn’t yet have an amethyst ring quite like this one.

With a very special dress planned for her birthday celebrations in Venice, it felt like the perfect piece to find for her. 💜

It’s such a joy to find something this special, and whilst I knew from the very beginning where it was going, I wanted my followers to have the chance to admire it too ☺️

But that’s one of the things I love most about vintage jewellery — it’s not just about the pieces themselves, but the people we choose them for, the occasions they accompany, and the memories they become part of.

Vintage Sterling Silver & Turquoise Native American Statement Cuff

Some pieces are just so special that you struggle to part with them… and this is definitely one of those! I’ve had this beauty for a while, and putting it back on today to photograph and describe it has me wondering all over again whether I should really be selling it!

A fabulous, tactile sterling silver cuff with two vibrant turquoise cabochons, a central domed silver detail and an incredible layered, openwork design. Look closely and you’ll discover intricate stamped patterns, including a bear paw, a thunder bird motif, zigzag or lightning-like forms and lots of rainbows, evoking the rich symbolism of Native American-inspired jewellery.

Stamped STERLING, this is a bold, characterful statement piece with wonderful detail from every angle.

Vintage Sterling Silver & Amber Clip Drop Earrings – Hallmarked London, 1993

Absolutely fantastic vintage sterling silver drop clip earrings, beautifully crafted with the most wonderful combination of silverwork and glowing amber beads.

The circular silver discs feature an intricate pattern of punched-in bubbles and dots, creating a wonderfully surface pattern. While the rich, translucent amber beads hang beneath, catching the light with every movement.

Look closely and you’ll discover the loveliest finishing touch: a delicate silver spiral at the bottom of each bead, adding another little flourish to these beautifully considered earrings. The beads swing gently as you move, giving them a lovely sense of movement and bringing the warm, fiery tones of the amber to life against the cool silver.

The hinged clip fittings are particularly lovely, beautifully made and designed to sit comfortably on the ear. The cut-out design allows the earlobe to be seen through, creating an extra bit of interest to the design.

Perfect for anyone without pierced ears, they can also be worn by those with pierced ears who appreciate a well-designed clip-on earring.

Vintage Sterling Silver Spider Bracelet – A Halloween Statement Piece 🕷️

A little bit of gothic glamour for Halloween! 🕸️

For lovers of spiders, unusual vintage jewellery and all things a little bit spooky, this fabulous vintage sterling silver bracelet is a real conversation starter.

Made up of seven interlocking circular discs, each features a beautifully embossed spider, raised against an intricate, textured web design. The detailing is wonderful, giving each spider a wonderfully sculptural appearance and making this a truly distinctive piece.

The bracelet is finished with an equally beautiful clasp, delicately engraved with a floral motif. Although sadly not hallmarked to date, the style of the clasp suggests a possible 1930s–1940s origin.

I’ve sympathetically cleaned the silver, leaving some lovely areas of patina to highlight the intricate detailing and give the piece its vintage character.

Perfect for Halloween styling, a gothic-inspired outfit or anyone who proudly embraces their arachnophilia (a love of spiders!). Equally lovely worn all year round by someone who appreciates jewellery with a little more personality.
