Why recycled silver? Because it matters - to me, to my craft, and to the planet.

💚 Every piece of JBG-Jewellery is handmade using recycled sterling silver wherever possible.

It’s my way of honouring sustainability without compromising beauty.

✓ Less environmental impact
✓ Same stunning quality
✓ A unique story in every piece

I love knowing that the silver I work with has had a life before - and now, it’s part of something meaningful again. Sustainable never looked so good.

🥂 13 years ago today… ❤️

On 7 September 2013, I married my best friend. 💍

13 years, countless adventures, lots of laughter, a fair few ups and downs - and somehow we’re still choosing each other every day. ❤️

I love looking back at our wedding photos, but there’s one that makes me smile every time…

During our wedding breakfast, someone drew this amazing caricature of us. I think they captured us rather well - although I’m not sure whether I should be offended by my hair! 😂

And yes, there is a jewellery connection… because these days I make jewellery, but 13 years ago I was much more interested in wearing it! 😉

Happy 13th anniversary to us. 🥂❤️

Here’s to whatever adventures come next. 💕

WOW… 900 FOLLOWERS! 🎉💃

I honestly can’t quite believe I’m writing this… JBG-Jewellery has reached 900 followers! ❤️

When I started this little jewellery adventure, I never imagined that 900 people would choose to follow along with me - watching me make, experiment, create, occasionally get things wrong 😂 and hopefully make some beautiful jewellery along the way.

Every follow, like, comment, share, purchase and kind message really does mean so much. It might be a small business, but behind it is one very happy (and very grateful!) Jo. 🥰

And there’s an added reason why I’m doing an especially big happy dance…

🎂 900 followers is an extra birthday present! 🎁

I really couldn’t have asked for a nicer one. ❤️

So, from the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for being here and supporting JBG-Jewellery. Whether you’ve bought a piece, admired something I’ve made, encouraged me, shared a post or simply followed along - you are part of this journey.

And yes… I’m still dancing! 💃😂✨

Here’s to the next milestone and, more importantly, to continuing to make jewellery, share ideas and enjoy the journey. 🥂💍

Thank you, you wonderful lot! ❤️

💙 This is something I don't often say…

These are mine. 😂💍✨

And yes… I made them!

Earlier this year, my husband bought me two gorgeous aquamarines when we visited India. I knew almost immediately that I wanted to turn them into something special - something that would remind me of that trip every time I wore them.

So I designed and made a necklace and a ring around the stones.

There is something rather lovely about making jewellery for other people, but I have to admit… making something for myself feels pretty special too. 💙

And these two pieces definitely aren't going into the JBG-Jewellery shop!

They're a little piece of India, a birthday gift from my husband and, now, my jewellery. 🥰

Although I suspect that, as a jewellery maker, I may have just discovered a dangerous new habit… making jewellery for myself! 😂

What do you think - should jewellery makers be allowed to keep some of their own creations? 😉

🎂 It's my birthday… so apparently I'm allowed to talk about myself today! 😂

Another trip around the sun - and when I look back, I'm still slightly amazed at where life's taken me.

For approximately 30 years I worked as a scientist. I never imagined that one day I'd be spending my time in a home studio playing with silver, fire, hammers and tiny bits of metal… and calling it work! 🔥🔨✨

But discovering silversmithing a few years ago changed things for me. What started as something I enjoyed learning has grown into JBG-Jewellery - my little handmade jewellery hobby/business and a rather wonderful creative adventure.

There have been plenty of learning curves, experiments that didn't quite go to plan, happy dances when something did work, craft fairs, commissions, new techniques, and lots (and LOTS!) of silver dust along the way.

And the best bit? You. ❤️

Every person who has bought a piece, commissioned something special, visited me at a market, recommended me to someone, liked or commented on a post, or simply followed along with my jewellery journey has helped make JBG-Jewellery what it is today.

So today I'm celebrating another year, feeling very grateful… and looking forward to seeing what the next trip around the sun brings. ✨

And because it's my birthday, here's a question for you:

What's something you never imagined you'd be doing at this stage of your life?
I'd love to hear your stories. 💕

✨ SEPTEMBER AT JBG-JEWELLERY ✨

September is looking like a slightly quieter month for me and JBG-Jewellery… and I'm rather looking forward to it! 😊

I only have one craft fair this month, so if you'd like to come and see my jewellery in person, I'll be at Goring Village Hall Artisan Market on Sunday 20th September.

The rest of the month will be a mixture of taking a little time out, gathering inspiration and getting back into the workshop to start designing and making for Christmas. 🎄✨

It may only be September, but for a handmade jewellery business, Christmas preparations have to start a little earlier!

So, a quieter month perhaps… but definitely not an idle one. There will still be plenty happening behind the scenes at JBG-Jewellery, and I’m looking forward to sharing some of it with you.

Will I see you at Goring on 20th September? 😊
