Three little words that say so much about JBG-Jewellery.

💚 Handmade - every piece is designed and made by me in my small West Berkshire studio, with care, curiosity and a love of working with silver.
♻️ Recycled - I work with recycled silver, often giving new life to tiny fragments and remnants that might otherwise be overlooked.
✨ One-of-a-kind - I love experimenting with textures and techniques, embracing the unexpected and creating jewellery with its own individual character. No mass production here, just pieces made one at a time.

For me, jewellery is about more than how it looks. It's about the story behind it, the hands that made it, and the person who eventually makes it their own.

🎄✨ The countdown is on… just TWO WEEKS to go!

Remember my little teaser about some Christmas magic happening behind the scenes at JBG-Jewellery?

Well, things are beginning to take shape! 👀

I've been busy working on new ideas, preparing pieces and getting my online shop ready for its Christmas launch in just two weeks' time! 🎁

As always, there'll be handmade recycled silver jewellery, individual pieces with their own character, and plenty of love and creativity behind every one.

⭐ Star jewellery is not just for Christmas! ⭐

Last Christmas, at one of my craft fairs, I was chatting to a customer about my textured silver wire star collection. We got talking about how lovely stars are to wear all year round, and I jokingly said…

✨ “Star earrings are not just for Christmas!” ✨

You know, like the saying about pets! 😂

And I stand by it. Stars aren't just for festive outfits, Christmas parties or sparkling under the tree. They're perfect for adding a little something special to an everyday outfit, whatever the season. ⭐

My textured silver wire star collection currently includes a necklace and a choice of drop earrings or ear studs, all handmade with that lovely combination of texture and simplicity.

And there's more to come! I've been creating two new bracelet designs for my Christmas online shop, launching in November. 🎄✨

✨ Little bits of silver, a whole new life… 💚

What happens when you combine sterling silver remnants with silver sawdust?

Something rather special!

These three pendants were created by fusing small fragments of sterling silver and silver sawdust together, using heat to join them without the need for solder.

I love this technique because it gives new life to those little pieces of silver left over from other projects. Rather than going to waste, they become part of something completely new.

The resulting textures are wonderfully organic and unpredictable, and every pendant has its own individual character. No two are the same!

For me, this is one of the joys of working with recycled silver: finding possibilities in the smallest things and turning them into jewellery to be treasured. ✨

🍝 From water… to salt… to spaghetti!

If you've been following JBG-Jewellery for a while, you may have seen me experimenting with water casting and salt casting.

Well… there's another rather unexpected material that can be used to create texture in silver.

Spaghetti! 😄

Yes, really. 🍝

Molten silver is cast into dried spaghetti, creating wonderfully random channels, textures and shapes. Once the pasta has done its job, it’s removed, leaving behind a completely unique piece of silver.

I love these casting techniques because you never quite know what you're going to get. The material creates the texture and the silver turns it into something wearable.

And I promise, this is one recipe where you definitely don't want to add parmesan! 😂

🎉 EXCITING NEWS! JBG-Jewellery is now on Google! 🎉

Another little milestone for my small jewellery business, and I'm doing a happy dance (AGAIN)! 💃✨

JBG-Jewellery now has its very own Google Business Profile, making it easier for people to discover my handmade, recycled silver jewellery and find out a little more about what I do.

As a small, independent maker, getting my jewellery in front of new people can be a challenge. So, if you've ever bought a piece of my jewellery - whether at a craft fair, through my online shop or as a commission - could I ask you a little favour? 💕

✨ From salt to silver…

One of my favourite things about working with silver is that sometimes you have to let the process do the talking.

For these pieces, molten recycled sterling silver is cast into salt crystals, creating wonderfully unpredictable, organic textures.

The salt creates the texture, but I never know exactly what will emerge until the silver has cooled and the piece is revealed. That means every piece is completely unique - no moulds, no mass production, just a little bit of science, a little bit of magic and a lot of heat! 🔥

I shared this process before, but it seemed worth bringing it back for those of you who are new to JBG-Jewellery.
