Lynsey Walters Jewellery Lynsey studied printed textiles at Edinburgh College of Art, & went on from there to the RCA to stud

I design and make wearable wool jewellery and hair accessories inspired by my vintage collections and a quirky sense of humour. The jewellery is based loosely on an imaginary garden crossed with a delicious haberdashery shop. The work is strongly coloured and has a delightful nostalgic charm. I have been in business for 21 years since graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2000 where I studie

d Constructed textiles. I had previously gained a BA(Hons) from Edinburgh College of Art in Printed Textiles. I decided to wing it and have a go at setting up on my own after Tricia Guild of ‘Designers Guild’ bought one of my pieces at the RCA show giving a boost to my confidence!

This time next week I’ll be setting up for
Its probably my biggest craft show of the year, it’s so good to catch up with all my maker friends, being self employed means I don’t really have colleagues but attending craft festival is a bit like a big wonderful creative conference of craft!
Lots of shop talk and hopefully lots of sales and meeting new customers.
But as you can see from and I in this pic it’s not all work work work!
