We are so proud to confirm mission accomplished.

On Sat the 4th our Operations Director Warren began his epic journey starting at the Marangu Gate and by Monday afternoon he had made the Kibo huts (Base camp). In the 3 days he had walked 28 kilometers and climbed over 2000mtrs.

10.00pm that night after 4 hours sleep, he was awoken to have some food and get ready. 11.00pm he set of for the summit. -20 degrees at the top, freezing cold at camp, legs in bits, shoulder ache, exhausted from the 9k walk already that day but failure would never be an option.
6 and a half hours later he dragged his sorry arse over another 6k and a further 1200mtrs altitude and made it to the summit. His emotions kicked in immediately and realised what he had achieved. His mind, body and soul had gone through hell and back and he won.

He said “No words can express how difficult this challenge is unless you do it yourself”

“None of this would have happened without support from my sponsors, all my family, my work, my friends and Anthony Nolan. Special thanks needs to go to my beautiful wife who gave me the courage, the mental strength and heart to keep going and my mentor, trainer and good friend Steve Dennis who joined me along the whole journey”.

And not forgetting why he did this. If you’re feeling a tad generous please help the cause and donate via the link below 🥰
It’s not too late to donate!

What a year, what a life, what an experience, forever grateful. Hakuna matata 🙏🏼💙

Tomorrow morning our Operations Director Warren will be off to Tanzania to take on the epic challenge of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro!

Some will know Warren’s story, but for those of you that don’t, please read the story on the Justgiving page below. It is heartbreaking, but at the same time shows how many good people are out there, willing to put themselves in danger to save the lives of others, just like Ben.

The Anthony Nolan charity was established by Shirley Nolan, a mother doing all she could to save her sons life. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be and her son Anthony passed away aged just 7.

Please give as much as you can to this great charity and to show your support for our Warren.

The very best of luck Warren!

On the 1st of October, our Director of Operations Warren Perrin will be joining a small team to climb Kilimanjaro, in Tanzania in aid of Anthony Nolan.

In October 2021, 6 months after losing his son in a car accident, his wife Simone was diagnosed with leukaemia (ALL).

Over the next 12 months Simone spent all but 9 weeks of them in hospital dealing with several sessions of chemo, over 30 tablets a day and sepsis three times where she ended up in intensive care.

This is whilst covid was taking the world by storm, so she was only allowed 1-hour daily visits by a select few. The following 12 months they had to travel to Southampton for weekly visits.
However, without Anthony Nolan charity finding Simone a stem cell donor, they would most definitely be looking at a different outcome.

With this in mind, Warren wanted to not only challenge himself but do something incredible and use the opportunity to help the charity. It is this charity that he is indebted too, and hopefully can raise a small contribution that may help other families in the future.

He has now been training for several weeks to get his fragile, yet decrepit 55-year-OLD body in shape to ensure he makes it to the top.

A just giving page with their story has been set up and Warren has promised updates as he starts the journey to the top.

So please help Warren however small reach his target and hopefully make a small difference helping other families.

And for a better understanding this is the world’s tallest single free-standing mountain and Africa’s tallest peak standing at 5895mtrs above sea level.

To give you some comparisons Mount Everest stands at 8848mtrs. The UK’s tallest mountain, Ben Nevis stands at 1345mtrs and the tallest mountain in France is Mont Blanc is 4808mtrs.

Thank you for your support

Support our Managing Director Chris O’Hara

Peter Grace Fundraiser - Sun 17th August - Fri 22nd August

Starting on Sunday 17th August, our Managing Director Chris O’Hara will be taking part in a charity cycle, along with 7 close friends in memory of his dear friend, Peter Grace.

They will be cycling an incredible 344 miles over 5 days, travelling from Northwood Cemetery in London to Peter’s hometown of Wexford, Ireland.

Peter was a much-loved friend whose memory continues to inspire all who knew him. Anyone who had the privilege of meeting Peter will always remember his cheeky smile and quiet fun loving demeanour.

Peter was diagnosed with cancer in July 2024, an illness he fought so courageously, demonstrating true inner steel and bravery, despite the devastating prognosis and life expectancy that he faced.

Peter passed away on 11 October 2024, at 38 years old, leaving a huge void that will never be replaced.

This journey is not only a tribute to his life but also a chance to raise vital funds for Michael Sobell House, a cause close to Peter’s heart.

Peter developed a special bond with the staff at Michael Sobell House, where he spent his final weeks. His family witnessed first hand, the care and love the team showed Peter, and the respect and gratitude he showed in return, every day of his care.

If you are able to support Chris and this cause, no matter the amount, your donation would mean the world. You can donate via the following link: https://lnkd.in/eiHjZGdA

Thank you so much for your generosity and support.
