Well… apparently SoBi turned ONE two weeks ago and I completely missed it 🥹🎂✨

Somehow, amongst everything going on, I totally forgot the fact that it’s been a whole year since we launched SoBi.

One whole year.
62 orders.
67 pieces of vintage & antique jewellery sent off to their new homes.
And more hours spent photographing tiny hallmarks than I’d care to admit. 😂

When we launched SoBi a year ago, I genuinely had no idea whether anyone would buy anything. I just knew how much I loved finding these little pieces of history and wanted to create somewhere beautiful to share them.

And somehow, you found us. 🥹

You followed, shared, messaged, bought, came back for another piece… and trusted our little business with some incredibly special purchases.

I’ve learnt SO much, made a few mistakes along the way, found some unbelievable treasures, even had a few pieces find their way into the jewellery boxes of some rather familiar faces 👀, and loved watching pieces that have already lived entire lifetimes begin their next chapter with you.

So, slightly belatedly…

Happy 1st birthday SoBi 🎂✨🖤

And from me and Will, a huge heartfelt thank you to every single one of you who has helped turn this little idea of ours into something real. It genuinely means more to us than you know. ❤️

104 years old… and still sparkling. ✨

I still find it fascinating that over 100 years ago, someone walked into a jeweller and chose this ring for the very first time.

Since then, fashions have changed. Generations have come and gone. The world around this little ring has become almost unrecognisable.

And we’ll never know who wore it, where it went, or what moments it was there for.

I think that’s part of the magic of antique jewellery.

The story started long before you.
You just get to write the next chapter 🥹✨

I’m going to be taking a small step back from SoBi for the next couple of weeks to take a little time to recharge.

Thank you so much for all the love and excitement over the new pieces I’ve been sharing recently. Don’t worry, they’re not going anywhere! They’ll be waiting for me, along with a gorgeous collection of antique and vintage treasures that I can’t wait to research, photograph and share with you when I’m back.

The website will remain open as normal, so if you spot something you love, you can still place your order and we’ll get it on its way to you. ❤️

I realised I’d made a little editing mistake on the last version of this post (thank you to the eagle-eyed follower who spotted it! ❤️), so it had to come down. But Tammy absolutely deserved her moment, so here it is again. ❤️
