It's been a while since I introduced/ reintroduced myself a little.. here ya go..

I've always been drawn to colourful jewellery. Whether it was pausing at market stalls, wandering through department store displays, or stepping into independent shops tucked down side streets, I loved the thrill of discovering something unique.

When I first joined Pinterest (many) years ago, I was captivated by the wealth of artisan jewellery shared there. I started creating inspiration boards, and before long, felt the desire to make my own pieces.

Jewellery, to me, has always been a way to brighten a simple outfit, express who you are, and sometimes even send a message without saying a word.

And I love sharing my creations with you, seeing someone else wearing a piece of jewellery I conceived in my mind and made with my hands.

..making a Leaf Drop neckpiece part 4

Mica powder is a fine, naturally occurring mineral pigment that provides a shimmery or glittery effect, it works beautifully on polymer clay.

I use an exacto knife and my fingers to smooth the edges of each leaf shape before I cure (bake) them..

I was NOT in the mood for voice overing.. after three attempts with a slow-brain, it was either post this as-is or never go back to it..

Most of my voice-over videos are actually recorded as audio at leisure, then I create a video to go with the mp3, this other way round is more stressful to me 👎🏾 you can tell from my voice I was over the overing..

So yes! I captured the first few stages of making a chocolate coloured leaf drop neckpiece.. I have a graphite one to make next week, so I'll try and capture the second half of the creative process then for a full picture.
