Vivid energetic golds transform the interior blues to a successful combination of colour and texture (using silver leaf inside the glass). The thing about a handmade glass bowl, is that it is art, but useable art. At rest it pleases the eye but can be called into service for all sorts of things from snacks to somewhere to hold your paperclips. The point is, everyone can find space for a versatile bowl in their life, so a reliable gift and a thing of beauty that doesn't cost a small fortune. 11cm wide x 9cm tall and at around 1.1-1.2 kg it feels satisfyingly substantial. Each is signed at the base.

A little off the beaten track, Campitos is often described as the closest match to the famous and fabulously expensive 'sleeping beauty'' Turquoise with its robin's egg blue colour. It originates in Mexico from the Pino Chueco and Cananea mines in Sonora. Turquoise has always been appealing because of its colour and lightness to wear. Really good quality American Turquoise isn't as easy to find as it used to be, hence most of it stays in their domestic market and only an expensive trickle arrives on these shores. There is room for a classic Turquoise nugget necklace in everyone's collection, hence our trips to the desert rock shows to find the unusual at a sensible price. I organised a small batch of 15/16mm nuggets straight from the company that processes output from the mine, 47cm with sterling silver T-bar clasp.

ROSE & FEATHER ART GLASS BOWL
Like composers, glassblowers are great improvisers with variations on themes. This is one of the ancestors of our Rosetta bowl. Deeper, lighter, more Summery, Containing silver leaf for visual texture. We took the rose theme and developed it further. Signed by the artist.
